Hey Yo...

http://home.cinci.rr.com/puyodead/misc/coleman.jpg

Yes, the picture is bad, but I can't BELIEVE someone did this. Good lord, that picture is ridiculous. Just wish I had the time...

Speakig of which, this game is freakin' awesome. I can't stop playing it and it's totally killed any momentum I had goin' on Kingdom Hearts.

I was hoping to find some websites, BESIDES Gamefaq's, that has good themes and designs, if anyone has any, do tell.

Speaking of Life stealing games...

I need a pear.

Character name: Zo
Town: Zub

Someone help me out - we don't have pears on either memory card that we are using on this thing...

I've planted an apple, cherry, and I started with Oranges if someone needs a trade. I have Peaches in my other town.

Hook me up!

//edit: I think I need an apple, too. I'm pretty sure we just dug up the apple sapling accidentally.

Can't help you out (yet). I've got peaches as my default fruit, and I've planted cherry, apple, orange, and pear, but so far have just saplings or small trees.

Check w/ asteroidboy or any of the people in the Animal Crossing thread

The "Animal Crossing" message board over at IGN.Com is supposed to have some good designs ...

I've got peaches as my default fruit, and I've planted cherry, apple, orange, and pear, but so far have just saplings or small trees.

I've got oranges as my default fruit, but everything else I try to plant just doesn't seem to want to grow ... My initial attempts to cultivate some coconut trees have resulted in nothing but wilted saplings

I take that back - The last 2 fruits I planted (pear & orange) were/are still saplings. The apple & cherry I *think* are medium-sized trees, but I forget exactly where I planted them.

Maybe the season/month has something to do w/ planting trees?

    Hey Yo...

I just planted a money tree! Yay! I didn't even cheat to do it. I found one of those old glowing spots, dug up the money and then thought, hey, what if I put it back? WHAM! Out grew a sapling!

But, today's a raffle day, so I have no use. That and I didn't have any fruit left to pay that Wendell guy to paint my room, so it looks like my nWo wallpaper stays!

Shit, I had a pear tree, but it's recently been shaken. I'll hook you up if I get more, Guru. Or anyone else.

Apples are my primary, also have cherries, coconuts, pears, and I think that's it. And money trees kick ASS!

Money tree, you say? I'll have to try that. I've shaked random trees, and had bags of 100 bells fall out before.

Anybody try getting the golden shovel yet? I think you have to bury a shovel, but I don't know for how long, nor do I know what advantages the golden shovel has over the normal one.

Using the golden shovel in random, non-X, spots on the map can yeild you bags of money. It's also used to help you get two hidden NES games on your GBA Island.

How long should I leave the shovel buried before it becomes a golden one? I've had mine buried for about 3 days.

I've got pear trees as my homegrown fruit. I'll give you one tomorrow (can't do anything today because of the raffle in Nook's shop), and wouldn't object to an orange in response. (I have apples and peaches growing and maybe cherries, although that one's not looking too hot.)

    NAME: Fuzzy
    TOWN NAME: Fuzzburg
    (Modest, I know)

    TIPS ON PLANTING TREES:
Don't walk over them - that'll kill them just like the flowers. And don't plant them too close to a house or one of the outer walls or they won't grow to full height. It's best to plant them outside of the train station because none of the animals seem to show up there. Anyplace without any animal houses or outside of Nook's show are good, too.

Oh, and Wendell eats fish. Of course, that didn't occur to me until after he left town...

    Hey Yo...

Damn! That sucks that Wendell eats fish. That and I'm pissed at ol' Nook for not hookin' me up with a fishin' pole, YET! I should go in and hit him with my bug net a few times, then maybe he'll move and I'll get a store owner who cares about his customers needs (yeah, sure, that'll happen)

Also, I've got cherries, so if anyone wants any, I'm willing to hook anyone up for a decent trade.

    NAME: Doozle
    TOWN: Animalia

I was wondering how the whole Golden Shovel thing worked myself, I think you have to plant it in a certain spot, correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't just bury the thing anywhere.

What's the thin line one crosses from being a fan to being a loser? Answer THAT one...

Yeah, you need to bury it in one of those glowing spots where you find a money bag - and, if it's too close to a wall, it won't grow beyond a sapling. And if it's in an animal's front yard, they'll most likely trample it to death before it ever grows. I think I've got one that's going to make it, but it'll be another day or two...

I was under the assumption that people could only visit towns when they had the other person's memory card. How exactly are you guys doing all this trading?

Hell, I don't even own the game (you guys are making me want it a lot!), but I believe that if you go to Nook with whatever item you want to trade, and put in the person's name and town name, Nook will give you a password. Give the password to the person you were going to trade with, and they take the password to Nook, and Nook gives them the goods.

You're kidding me! Jedi Outcast may have to be pushed back then, didn't know the game was this deep (after looking into it). But then again, Jedi Outcast is Jedi Outcast (awesome game). WHICH ONE?! =(
