Is it just me, or was this one of the best cage matches that the WWE has done in a while. The two wrestlers worked their asses off, Edge bladed like a maniac(his hair was red at the end), and it just clicked. Also, no one went out the door, and the huge bumps ruled. That tope rope Anglle Slam and tope rope spear were great, as was the flipping backdrop sell, with JR saying, "He may have been trying to counter that." Everything just worked very well, and that's the second best cage mmatch I've ewver seen, just a little behind Benoit/Angle.

Yes, it was pretty damn good. I hate it when people just waltz out the freaking door - it should be LOCKED! What's the point if you can just walk out of the door to the cage? That's the perfect way to ruin the gimmick. Anyway, it didn't happen last night, and all was right with the world.

I was at the RAW in Austin a few months back, when HHH and Angle had a cage match. And this was a million times better. The Austin cage match had absolutely nothing going for it, and HHH moved around the ring like a bloated slug.

PANDAS ARE PEOPLE TOO!!!!

Trips moves like a Teddy Ruxpin now. Get it right. And Triple H couldn't put over a 3 foot midget much less a good wrestler. Its all about the Game's paycheck.

And yeah, that cage match was excellent. I wish I had seen all of it (TE2 airs DURING the last half of Smackdown for those of us in the Mountain TimeZone. And yes, I'm too lazy to tape one.) but from the action I did see, this was definitely a step in the right direction. I'm glad to see Angle and Edge getting the spotlight for their feud. Its the BEST THING the Smackdown roster has. I just wish there was a little bit more intensity in the story itself, but the matches more than make up for it.

That's one of the many reasons the NWA used to be superior to the WWF. The cage was there to end feuds and stop any interference (and of course allows the wrestlers to juice aplenty).

When did they stop using the cage with the blue bars? That one was a lot more intimidating than a chain-link fence.

They pulled out the old-style cage for one of the UK PPVs last year when Edge and Christian went at it for the IC belt.

Thanks to a fluke of iTunes, today I discovered that there was once an opportunity for enterprising "musicians" to release albums that were nothing but covers of popular wrestling themes.
