Actually, Firefly was being aired during the 2002-2003 TV season, which would put it on at the same time as Buffy S7 and Angel S4. That's also why two of its stars (Nathan Fillion and Gina Torres) had parts on Buffy and Angel in those seasons (Caleb and Jasmine) after it had been taken off the air.
It was also nice to see Adam Baldwin (also a Firefly alum) show up as Hamilton at the end of Angel S5 - especially since it was quite a different character for him to play from his roles in Firefly and Full Metal Jacket (ANIMAL MOTHER~~~).
With that said, I can't wait for the Firefly movie.
The trick with at-register sales like what you're talking about is that only a salesman can sell them. These companies think that everyone can add on to someone's ticket, that everyone can be a salesman.
