On the one hand, its kinda lame that Jasmine is such an evil villain she can only be killed by her true name. Then again, at least now we know how they have to go about stopping her. Did they establish that her name would kill her, or it would just end her enchantment of everyone? Cuz it seems that without everyone acting as a power source for her, she'd be a lot easier to kill...
I'm guessing that the Jasmine worship is starting to drift out of LA. I don't know how far Sunnydale is from there, but at least we know the Scoobies have been too busy to watch tv lately to get involved in this. Maybe this is why everyone's fleeing Sunnydale, as Wood mentioned last week?

Damn, Angel was on today? There is too many programs I like that they all seem to be on the same days. Today I watched UPN's Enterprise and Twilight Zone and totally forgot about Angel. I might as well just wait for every show to come out on DVD too see them all.
It was an okay episode since Jasmine got here, I've been waiting for some key to the First but that is not happening. By the way, Jasmine absorded Cordy, so there was a major death tonight. I hated the kiddie Angel group, I loved when Gunn knocked that kid out. Now, that they only have two episodes left I would assume that the killing starts on camera soon. Conner has to die there is no other choice.
Do we *know* that Jasmine ate Cordelia? It would certainly seem that way, but they've left it open ended enough that she could be elsewhere and we wouldn't know the difference. (Back on a higher plane?) Usually, when they do do a major death, they don't leave any loose threads hanging. If Cordelia was really dead, we'd know she was really dead.
Angel is going to kill Connor, no question. The prophecies said as much. I'm just still doubtful as to whether or not that will happen as the result of this conflict. As much as Connor deserves it, I think Angel would rather just kill Jasmine and assume he'll get Connor back once the thrall is broken, as opposed to killing his son when he isn't really evil.
I'm just wondering if, when Jasmine dug her nails into Connor, that she didn't infect him like she did the insane guy a few weeks ago. Although, he's probably immune to that like he is being cured by Cordy's blood.
Connor's pain and power are probably what makes Jasmine stronger. She probably feeds off pain while she promises love to everyone. She looked wicked when you saw her laughing while her body was getting scratched up and healed instantly while the Angel crew was trying to fight off her No Limit Soldiers.
Excellent episode...team Angel keeps on bringing the goodness....
I'm more convinced than ever that as far as Jasmine is concerned, Gunn had it right in the prior episode...she's part of the Powers That Be...or, as Gunn put it, a "Power that Was." I mean, all throughout this series, the Powers never interfere directly; they just send the visions and that's it (If I recall correctly, the Fang Gang has made references to this in past times of trouble, referring to them as "the Powers That Screw You" and "the Powers that Sit On Their Behinds").
But what if one of them (whatever "they" are) was like Jasmine...and it seems to me that she's all, "screw this passive watching, I'm gonna MAKE mankind love each other and be good and kind, etc. and if I have to kill a few of them & take away free will, oh well!"
As for Connor...I can't help but feel sorry for the kid. Considering his upbringing, the events of this season, and everything going on now, I don't think any therapy will help the kid. He's too far gone at this point. I'm not surprised he follows Jasmine...he seems like he'll follow anyone (other than Angel) who shows him affection.
Power flows to the one who knows how -- desire alone is not enough.
Here's some advice for everyone. Pick up the new trade paperbacks of the Incredible Hulk series, starting with the Return of the Monster trade. In it, Bruce Banner (as the Hulk) kills one person, a little boy.
