Damn that ending sure shocked me!!!

Lilah bites it. Good call Excalibur05, except I don't think ANYONE could have called that Angelus wouldn't be doing the killing. I would have picked her if I had known she was eligible, such as by still appearing regularly as opposed to running away 2 episodes ago and never looking back.

I liked the way how the promos gave me the impression that Gunn was digging a grave to put someone in rather than take something out.

That Soul-taker thing was Chumash, right? Does that mean that Gunn/Connor had to go to Sunnydale?

And Cordy is EVIL!!!! Does this mean that she's been evil all along (hence the playing of Connor and Angel off each other), or was this the result of the spell she inadvertantly cast? Is there a good Cordelia still stuck in another dimension? Can it be that the Powers that Be are in on it? (Can it be that the Powers that Control Cordy are the evil powers, and no one knows it?) I'm wondering if it the Beast didn't offer his bones up to someone like Skip or such?

And Faith is coming back now. This is *GOOD*!!!

So now we have to watch to find out who's the higher power? And with all this talk of the Powers That Be, this all sounds a bit familiar...

High tide for the time being.

I'm more shocked that I was right than you are, I'd think. Though, as SOON as I saw Lilah, I knew she was going down.

And, no, I could not have called that Cordy would be the killer. Not in a trillion billion years.

I'm getting more and more into the habit of thinking that the First is behind this thing in L.A. Hmm... That's interesting.

Wow, that was great. I knew it was Angelus as soon as the skull broke. I don't know how he got passed Loren's singing test, but I'm sure Cordy had something to do with it. Now, the big question is who or what is controlling the Demon, Cordy and Angelus? After reading some spoilers, I want to say its the First, but I just don't know yet. The Faith promo at the end had me marking out like a school boy at the end of Wrestlemania III. All I can say is once the crossover happens it will probably be the best fucking 2 hours on television this year.

A Fan- Damn, if these shows get cancelled I am never watching TV again.

Jkyle.com says:

Looks like the TV Guide "insiders" called the evil Cordy thing, I REALLY didn't think that'd happen.

And the First has GOT to be behind the Beast. It would explain a lot to me.

What with the lil Star Wars joke I was expecting someone to see the mess with Angelus and go "he is our last hope" so Wes could go, "No, there is another."

Edit-Angelus escapes and I'm WALKING too...

I did NOT see the Cordy heel turn coming, not from a million miles. Wow.

Why can nothing else on TV shock me like Buffy and Angel can?

Already done on Buffy this year (Andrew & Warren). They would really be repeating themselves if they finished that Star Wars quote.

My dumbass friend had to tell me about spoilers that his friend read, especially when I told him specifically that I did not want to hear about any spoilers. So the weight of the Cordy surprise was lessened as a result. Kind of a cop out that they promoted someone was going to die, and it wasn't a part of the Angel crew. A solid episode all around.

Does anybody remember the commercials the WB was promoting 3 weeks ago about how there were going to be 6 new Angels in a row? After 3 weeks, Angel will be on hiatus again for another 2 weeks! No new episodes next week or the week after, and this is a sweeps month. WB is run by f*cking birks! This adds fuel to the rumor that the WB isn't serious about Angel anymore, as evidenced by changing time slots and multiple pre-emptions. This could very well mean that the WB might be cancelling Angel.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the First behind all this, but for now I'm going to act naive and work off the premise that the villains for the two shows are different.

Did anyone notice that the knife Cordy stabbed Lilah with was the bone-knife that the Beast offered up earlier?

So the questions left are when did Cordy become evil Cordy? Are evil Cordy and good Cordy the same (physical) person? And how did Angelus get passed Lorne's reading (did the spell give him the illusion of a soul, or was he legitimately Angel for a few moments??? Angelus pretending to want to stay in the cage was a rather clever ruse on his part...)

And when Cordy convinced Angel to lose his soul by talking about how Angelus is smarter, was she evil then? Was she evil when she slept with Connor (did she know Angel would see?) Oh, man! There is too much going on here.

Komarkaze, for discussion of Angel's chances at renewal, click here.

I apologize for being a Buffy/Angel mark.

I think Evil Cordy's been there the whole season. She's just been acting too different as appeared to last season.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasure. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship.

The average age of the world's great civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith, from spiritual faith to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependency, from dependency back to bondage.

Evil Cordy? The guess is on as to when it started. Her transformation to demon at the end of "Birthday"? The ascending in last year's season finale? I'm definitely digging this plot twist. I'm glad that this was the one episode this year I chose to be unspoiled for.

Favorite part of the episode? The conversation between Angelus & Gunn in the basement. Hopefully this leads to some much needed growth for this character, as I think J. August Richards can handle some meaty acting material if given the chance.

Oh, and when they let her be, Amy Acker is HOT.
