| #1 Posted on 6.12.02 1803.16 | It's another Trip thread, but this is looking at something from an entirely new perspective. Now, conventional wisdom has it that if Steph/Steph dumps Trip, Vince will bury him to the point where he has to say sir to Barry Horowitz. However, if that happens, it might be time for Vince to appear in court yet again. That's right, everyone's favorite friend, the sexual harrassment lawsuit. And the scary thing is, Trip would have Vince dead to rights. He gets pushed to the stars with at least some of the reason being due to sexual favors he performs for a co-owner and writer of the company. Thus, if he is punished because he no longer performs those favors, Trips rights are being violated. Thus, unless Trip is de-pushed while he is with Steph/Steph, it would be very difficult for him to be de-pushed in the future. We've said alot about Trip, but it does appear the guy does have some brains. He now is in the ultimate no lose situation.

Excellent deduction, and if you thought of it, chances are Vince had had this plan in mind since HHH started giving Steph the hot beef injection.
If they break up, look for a world of shit for HHH... and rejoice! (After all, Karma can be a real bitch sometimes)
Two hours later they decided to stop at a diner Because they loved the smell of eggs and coffee I just had to smoke a cigarette and wear a hat By the time that they set off again, the sun was starting to set It made the sky look red like a nuclear ray One of them said "what do you want more than anything in this whole wide world Do you want money, do you want sex, or do you want all that success?" I thought about that one myself (Then they came upon the thing)

Actually, thats what I think will happen, because if things changed, Trips case would be open and shut. He won't get depushed while he's nailing Steph, and if he's depushed if they break up, the evidence will be overwhelming that he has been sexually harrassed. And, Vince is due to lose one of those suits.

| #8 Posted on 6.12.02 2351.51 | Sexual harrassment is unwanted sexual advances. I don't get your logic on how HHH being depushed is harrassment. It just doesn't apply.
HHH is just benefitting from a mutual relationship. There's no lawsuit here at all. There's no law preventing Vince McMahon from depushing someone. There's no wrongful push law.
You actually think a jury would buy that this big, tough, HHH was only with Stephanie because he was afraid to leave her in fear of what may happen to him? I really think this is a huge stretch. Jerry McDevitt would eat Triple H alive and his career would be dead. | angrycheesehead

I just want to point a few things out...
First of all, the law (and precedent that is being referred to is "quid pro quo" or "this for that". Basically, you give me this, and I'll give you that. But, if you don't give me this, you can't have that. When sex is a factor in the second issue, we have a lawsuit on our hands. Don't believe me? Look it up. Or check out this site:
http://www.uslaw.com/library/article/bshQuidProQuo.html
Regarding the things you said that the judge wouldn't buy...let's remember that the WWE is a business, and like any other buisness, it must follow laws. Let's put Triple H and Steph in a law firm. Steph is a partner in this law firm, and Trips is a college graduate, just entering the firm. Well, Steph and Trips have a sexual relationship, and because of this, he is given the "big" cases....this relationship is broken off, and Trips is immediately fired/reduced to mail delivery....This is the same thing that could happen in the WWE, and Trips would, in all certainty, win the lawsuit.

| #11 Posted on 7.12.02 0132.50 | Damn, mskj took the words right out of my mouth.
The problem with the previous example is that in a law firm it's unheard-of for a person to be handling the big cases, and then lose their job and have to work in the mail room. In wrestling, the top guys ALWAYS have to be taken out of the main event at some point. Christ, it even started to happen to Steve Austin, the top guy ever, but he just quit before it really got going.
No matter much we like to bitch about The Undertaker or Nash or whoever, and how they'll NEVER leave, the fact is still eventually true. How's Triple H supposed to prove that it just wasn't his time to go? Especially when he's the top guy right now, and the show's in the shitter every week?

| #12 Posted on 7.12.02 0208.14 | Besides, it's not really like the hypothetical situation in angrycheesehead's post. HHH didn't date Steph right off the blocks... as much as we may want to forget (or mock him for) his relationship with Chyna, that was during his time with the WWF, and he'd been there for a few years before that. It's like if Steph was partner, and HHH was someone that had been there for a couple of years.

Vince can push whoever the hell he wants and how much he wants. There's no real levels that a wrestler reaches, it's all in Vince's head. Vince is contracted their services to wrestle and there's no clauses in there about where on the card they have to be. | Hogan's My Dad

Pfft. Anyway none of this matter because they're not having sex. Stephanie is waiting patiently. I know she is.

On top of which, anyone who's ever been in a relationship with a relative of the boss would be able to tell you that you do what ever the boss tells you to during that time, else he could make life very awkward for you. My thoughts exactly. There'd be so much evidence to back up depushing the man that they could concievably bust him down to the curtain-jerker and still justify it to a court of law.
