I gotta say, im not much for freaky movies or anything, but this one really had me freaked out...Amnityville Horror is a good movie, really dark and evil, but nicely done. The acting is great and the story is good. If supernatural stuff freaks u out, dont see it, I was practically screaming like a little girl at parts.
I thought there was already a thread on this movie, but I couldn't find it, so....
I watched it to review for my school paper. My expectations were low, considering it had been pretty much crucified by critics. I found it to be relatively scary though (and I'd been watching horror movies the last two weekends, so I was kinda comparing them). The acting was well done, although I prefer Ryan Reynolds in comedy roles. The thing with the babysitter was a bit odd and seemed out-of-place. It's not a complex thriller by any means, but I thought it was scary enough for me.
The guy who discovered Steven Spielberg, created the summer blockbuster, and produced Driving Ms Daisy has passed away from a heart attack, Yahoo is reporting. Where would cinema be without the summer blockbuster?
