Regardless of what Kim says, I really didn't watch NEAR as much of this show as she makes it out to be in her blog entry. (She also hates it when I point people to her blog, so bookmark it now 'cause I probably won't do any more linking for the rest of the season - unless people continue to not start threads, then maybe I'll....nah)

I thought it was a fun show last night. Though there were some really boring guys, overall they could sing pretty well.
That David A. kid, well he just rules.
None of the "rocker" guys did much for me. And someone should tell Danny and that other kid that Elvis is not something they should ever try again. Especially with the super tight pants.
Moon River dude is dead. So is the little girl with the curly long hair that we never heard before last night.
Oh and what was with the one girl, Carly, not being there?
Dreadlocks dude freaks me out. Those eyes...those have to be fakes, right? His face and expressions and voice say one thing and the dreads disagree completely. But hey bad hair seemed to be the theme for this show.

OH. MY. GOD. There couldn't be a more perfect description of Danny.
Is he Filipino? I tend to root for the Filipinos, since I'm married into a Filipino family and all. So, I'll be pulling for Ramiele too. Hopefully she doesn't suck, as I didn't see any of her auditions.
The tween lit craze is ripe for the mocking and this episode did it very well. I loved Homer getting his crew together, Ocean's 11-style. Neil Gaiman coming in and doing odd jobs for everyone was great. This episode ruled it for the heist.
