Aw crap, I missed one. Must have aired before the two FG episodes last week.
Anyway, it took a while for this one to pick up. It started with the formulaic "Stan's a jerk and proud of it" moment before renewing his vows with Francine, but picked up in the second half once Stan had his retinas removed. The resolution with Stan and Francine coming to terms with the fact that they're both horribly shallow is sweet...sort of.
Definitely not enough time was given to Steve and Haley, who were desperately looking for a gift to avoid to wrath of one of Roger's more stabby characters.
An ok outing, but nothing to make me forget the excellent stuff from the start of the season.
The fringe details set the entire context of the movie. Yes, it's a big, dumb action movie, but to suggest that the entire setting of the film is somehow irrelevant or fringe doesn't make much sense to me.
