I'm not Canadian, but I really like Stars. I listened to this particular album for about a month when I first got it.
In addition, their cover of The Smiths' This Charming Man is really, really good. I actually prefer the Stars' version to the original.

Various Artists - Thrive Mix 5 (The W at Amazon) (2008) $7.99 $1.99 - I used to be a real sucker for mix CDs, but this is like the NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC of mix CDs. Everything that was a LITTLE popular six to nine months ago is now available long after most of their respective shelf lives.
