Ahh, yeah you're right, he was part of that deal. Just forgot about Lawton since he was only a Met for half a season.
I also think Alomar is already a lock to be in the Hall of Fame. He's probably going to be top 50 or higher in all those stats that JJD listed. So that's gotta count for something. Also he's a great defensive player and has played well in the playoffs.

| #23 Posted on 3.7.03 0025.12 | OH MY GOD! I just got back from the Twins vs. Sox game tonight, and that was just a visceral, emotional, roller coaster cardiac arrest ride of a game. You could feel a charge at Sox Park tonight as people began to buy into the idea that "hey, this Sox team could do something this year." The 12th inning HR by Frank Thomas set off the longest sustained cheering/roaring/chanting I have heard in almost 20 years as a White Sox fan.
Now we just need one more arm in that bullpen....and the severed head of Billy Koch to use as a coffee mug.
and maybe I should open up my sensitive side/but really, the sensitive side sucks./I've been there./You can only imagine the kinds of sweaters they make you wear.

| #25 Posted on 3.7.03 0713.46 | As the family of Charles Comiskey said when the name was sold off "we don't mind. After all, don't most Chicagoans just call it Sox Park anyhow?" So if that idea was good enough for them, then that's what I use ;)

Has Carl Crawford's game winning home run landed yet? Koch might actually be worse than the Red Sox bullpen. Perhaps its time for the Tom Gordon as White Sox closer era to begin.
If Vince would just hire Dick Dastardly and Muttly and tell them to Catch the Pigeon, it would draw at least an 8 rating. | darkdragoon

| #28 Posted on 5.7.03 0006.15 | Why not any of the people on this board? Why not Zack Gowen. Why not anyone except for "The Human Torch" Billy Koch?
I'm currently pondering what the odds are that any 12 people in the Chicago area would give me jail time if I shot Billy Koch right in his hideous chin beard. I'm thinking they would most likely understand and acquit.

Oliva: You are the weakest link! Goodbye!
Stewie: Ahahaha. Oh God, that's funny. That's really funny. You write your own material? Do you? Because that is so fresh. 'You are the weakest link. Goodbye!' You know I've never heard anyone make that joke before. You're the first. I've never heard anyone reference that outside program before. Because that's what she says on the show, right? Hmmm? 'You are the weakest link. Goodbye!' And ye...ye..yet you've taken it and....and used it out of context to insult me in this everyday situation. What a clever, smart girl you must be. To come up with a joke like that all by yourself. Mmmmm...that's so fresh too. Any Titanic jokes you want to throw at me as long as we're hitting these phenomena at the height of their popularity. Mmmm? Cuz i'm here God you're so funny!

You'd have to hope the jury wasn't stacked with Cubs fans, who would definately convict while laughing all the while.
