I had to think really long and hard about this - but one good thing has happened on TNA since Hogan came aboard.
Abyss's gimmick got fixed.
Remember he was doing that quasi-Eugene face thing? I didn't like when he was doing the Hogan schtick, but now? He's properly a monster like he should be.
I am also at the point where I can't even watch TNA anymore, but I have to admit that one thing is better...

I thought the happy superhero Abyss occurred because of direct interaction with Hogan. He got Hogan's HoF ring and found his, I dunno, resolve and confidence. This was part of Hogan "fixing" TNA characters.

Yeah, when he went from Eugene-lite to the Hulkamania-Lantern, I think it was a positive step, but it still wasn't ideal.
Did they eventually intend to revert him to full-blown monster, and that was just a halfway step? I have no way of knowing. But the end result - what we have now - is an acceptable version. So yeah, a year into it, Abyss is far, far better than he was when Hogan first arrived.

I find the current Evil Monster Abyss to be remarkably one-dimensional and boring. Maybe it's because he isn't good on the mic, but most likely it's because they aren't giving him anything really interesting to do.

TRYING to bring this discussion back on topic: The theme Flair is overdubbed with is his former WWF theme, which he used in his first WWF stint from July 1991 to January 1993. The nWo theme, however, sucks ass. Mike
