Not much of a history, huh? I guess this explains how you go 20 years without making the playoffs. I'd put Jim Gantner at 2B and move Molitor to 3B. I'd go with Higuera as the starter, and Dan Plesac as the reliever.

Hasn't Bichette put up better career numbers than Burnitz?

I'd move Molitor to DH, insert Oglivie in the outfield in place of Burnitz, and put Gantner at second.

I'm not really thrilled with the selection of Vaughn, but I can't justify putting anyone else in there for him.

Interestingly, Vlad is the NINTH straight MVP to come from the AL West. Oakland: Tejada, Giambi Seattle: Ichiro, Griffey Texas: A-Rod, Pudge, Juan Gonzalez (twice) So much for the 'writers don't stay up late and watch their games' theory.
