The last time that happened, wow... had to have been around 1999, WrestleMania XV, close to the last time The Rock was a heel. Since that approximate time, he's been a face, or at least that's my rememberance of it. I personally was watching WCW's Great Chris Benoit Push of 1999 at that point in history.
I loved it. I loved every second of it. And I've never been a fan of the nWo black-and-white until now.

I don't think you'll ever hear the crowd spontaneously chant for Nash or Hall, but to WWF marks, Hogan is HULK HOGAN, and he is the biggest star in wrestling history, just like he constantly says he is. We'll see whether Hogan is still treated as a face tomorrow... I do tend to doubt it.
Anti-Rock sentiment (sediment?) is not as rare as you make it out to be tho. Both Y2J and RVD got major cheers when fighting Rock, plus of course Austin.

And I got a message today saying that my order was put on back-order due to the overwhelming number of people who've been doing the same thing I did.
That should be somewhat of an indication of how over the nWo is right now.

This is EXACTLY why they need to go over the top with the heelish things . . . they've got to get the heel heat from somewhere.

I saw the NWO T-Shirts 60% off at K-Mart during the Christmas Holidays, the tag had a old WCW logo.
As for the WWF buffering noise that is nothing new, the last time I went to a WWF event they played the assshole chant and nobody was chanting asshole in the arena, as a matter of fact people were looking around like myself to see where all these chants were coming from, The Speakers!

And all the "What?"ing? No real live crowd could EVER chant "What?" together. I mean, it has to be from the speakers!
Give me a break, conspiracy theorists. The "You Suck" chants are easy to synchronize because they are on beat with Angle's music. It's no different than in sporting events with the clapping and stomping of "We Will Rock You" or chanting "Hey" during "Rock N Roll Pt. 2."
Furthermore, because the chant has been going on consistently for the past month or so, fans are no doubt dying for Angle to come out so they can start with the "you suck" chants.
Plus, the fans always do the classic "music gets cut but the chanting is too fierce to stop, so we'll say it a couple more times" thing...which is of course a close cousin to the "one guy still clapping after the ovation ends" guy.

| #14 Posted on 19.2.02 1406.44 | I was at Raw last night, and I can assure you none of the chants were piped in. The Angle You Suck chants, the What's, and especially the dueling Rocky/Hogan chants were all being done by live people at the arena. You can tell because it takes a few of each thing to get everyone on the same page seemingly, so the first couple What's sounded more like "WHAWHAHAT" inside the building.

back to the NWO, Are they really a cancer in the WWF if everyone likes them now and you can't even get a NWO shirt on shopzone because they are sold out.

I still remember the first NWO apperances, they got all these pops and such and after a month of run ins and beatdowns, the heel heat and boredom came. I for one still hate them and will continue to hate the forever.

| #18 Posted on 19.2.02 1630.06 | who did everyone watch in the 80's and 90's? Hogan.... if you mention wrestling to a non fan... who do they usually think of?... Hogan.... how many fans perked up when they heard Hogan was back?... a ton.... how many people marked out (from what i read on the forums) when hogan talked and did the leg drop?.... that should give you some idea of how popular this guy is..... if non fans know who this guy is then the casual fan is just going to enjoy having him back for now

| #19 Posted on 19.2.02 1801.21 | Im starting to get angry....
Please will everybody shut up about the damn "muted" chant crap? The WWF does not "mute" anybodys chant to keep anyone down! IT DOESNT HAPPEN!!!! They mute the crowd noise for BROADCAST purposes only!!!!
I was at the RAW in Richmond 2 weeks ago and we were all chanting YOU SUCK WHAT perfectly in time with Angles music. Its easy. It wasnt piped in I can assure you.
Answer me this conpisracy theorist... If the WWF mainipulates chants and crowd noise to suit their liking then why do the following chants always come thru loud and clear?
ASSHOLE STEPHANIE SWALLOWS or is a SLUT Its not YOURS SHANES A PUSSY
If I were muting a chant these would be the first to go, but they dont so wheres the comspiracy?
Lyrically Im supposed to represent, Im not only a client Im the player-president.....

| #20 Posted on 19.2.02 1823.24 | First of all, let me use BIG CAPITAL LETTERS to make my points too. Why would they let those chants go? Becase it's a free curse obviously. Why did the Road Dogg always say "Up in this..." and let the crowd say the bad word? When the crowd chants all these, it matched what the WWF wanted by the way. That would be why they also respond to those chants.
For example, over the last two nights, anytime the fans have cheered Hogan, JR has talked right over it blabbering shit like "They are obviously cheering everything he has done." or "Hogan is fooling these fans, but I'M not buying into it."
As for the signs, that's always been going on to prevent the anti-Rock people from dominating. I wouldn't say it's on the level on a "comspiricy," but they definately "tweak" the audience.
