Did any of you watch it? I'm on holiday in Malta with my family so wouldn't have been able to convince them to watch it even if I wanted so wanted to see how many here watched it and what their thoughts were.
May well be the best PPV of the last two decades, slightly surpassing Bound for Glory 2016.
Cody v. Magnus (c) for the NWA Championship is a must watch for any wrestling fan (Not a five star match, but the level of meaning in that match was transcendent, at least if one has been watching the Ten Pounds of Gold Series, or if they otherwise know the legacy of the NWA)
Scrull v. Okada was a must watch in general, especially for fans of Being the Elite.
Pentagon Jr. v. Kenny Omega was great
Green Arrow v. Christopher Daniels was surprisingly great
I enjoyed the womens' match too.
For west coast wrestling fans, and fans of Being the Elite, Joey Janella v. Hangman Page was long awaited.
Macho Man Lethal's match was a similar big pay off to Being the Elite.
Good to see Rey Mysterio again too!
Edit: For context, since 2000 I'd say the top PPV matches have been
1. Angle v. Austin (Summerslam 2001) 2. The Great War: Broken Hardy Boyz v. Decay (Bound for Glory 2016) 3. Legacy v. Crusade: Cody Rhodes v. "Magnus" Nick Aldus (All In 2018) 4. Lesnar v. Angle (Wrestlemania 2003) 5. Sting v. Hogan (Bound for Glory 2011) 6. Eddie Guerrero v. Brock Lesnar (No Way Out 2004) 7. 10/10/10: Anderson v. Angle v. Hardy (Bound for Glory 2010) 8. Big Show v. Rock v. Foley v. Triple H (Wrestlemania 2000)
It was a good solid show. Not sure if I would call it the best. I felt the crowd (or maybe it was the way they were mic'ed) was a bit flat at first.
The pre-show battle royal worked well. Lots of people to be recognized and the winner was a payoff to a long long story.
Matt Cross vs MJF opened the main show. I know Cross but not familiar with MJF. He's a cocky prick and that worked well. Comentary was quick to point this out and how Cross is the ultimate 'grizzled veteran' so it was a nice old vs new match.
Amell vs Daniels was a fun little match. Arrow-guy showed he wanted to be a real wrestler not just a celeb doing things. PErformed a nice coast to coast too and some sweet dives & bumps. After the match he earned Daniels' respect.
Women's four way was another solid performance. Only knew the ladies by name but they put on a great match. The end seemed almost botched. During this match the crowd got more into the entire show imo.
Cody vs Aldis, great match. Lots of emotion.
Hangman Page vs Joey Janela. Started out normal but quickly turned into the street fight which it was billed as. Some brutal spots and crazy risks by both guys. Also some sports entertainment shenanigans as Hangman apparently lost his mind and his boots talk to him. After the match, Joey Ryan was res-erected (hehehehe) and Page was carried out by Penis-Druids. wtf
ROH champ Lethal defends against the winner of the battle royal. He switched back and forth between being Black Machismo and himself. Not to be spoiled...

FLIP GOrdon won the BR and the title shot and thus was FINALLY all-in!
Omega vs Penta - some crazy action. Not sure if I'd call it a classic like Omega/Okada or most of the stuff from NJPW but a really good match. Crowd was into it and both guys played their characters well. Post match....Lights went out...

Lights went out, Penta was now Jericho who beat up Omega and challenged him for a match on his Cruise
Scurll vs Okada . The story is that Marty wants to be a heavyweight and he (obviously)showed that he was able to hang with the former champ. Another really good match. I love Scurll's character and he worked it well.
BUcks & Ibushi vs Rey Misterio, Fenix and Bandido. Crazy crazy action. Rey wore a Wolverine style outfit, reviving his WM streak of Superhero costumes. Lots of flipping and action and solid finish.
APparently Okada/Scurll went long, causing the main event to be shorter than planned. Whatever. I enjoyed all of it.
SO yeah definitely worth watching. More like ROH or NJPW than WWE obviously (low on promos, high on action) Loved the feel of the show. It was well produced and good quality yet still had a 'indy' feel.
Thank you for the reports - it certainly sounds like it is was a great show. I have read a lot of reports now and sounds like it is definitely worth watching, even if you don't know everyone taking part. I am trying to find it here in the UK now I am back after my holiday (Malta is superb by the way if you fancy a great holiday!). Wife, kids and internet weren't in my favour while I was there!
