Ok, I know ALF was popular in the 80's during NBC primetime but I didn't think he was this popular. Anyways, I know that the series finally made it to a DVD set but a late night cable talk show on Fridays? What is the world coming to?

Yea they aired like a weeks worth a few months ago. It was in the papers and TV Guide I think, I guess you missed it. Seemed like a big deal but it really just comes across as just another talk show.

The talk show was originally going to be a series, and then TVLand decided it would be a one-shot thing, and just aired the pilot episode. The ratings were so good, you guessed it, they ordered more episodes. I think that's what we're now seeing.
