A-Rod saves a boy from being hit by a truck in Boston. Nothing that any other person wouldn't have done, but still sort of neat.

I'm surprised he came through in such a clutch situation.

Congrats to A-Rod. I prefer when he's not being shat on. He's a great player, just give him time.

Well, he's got about five months until he has to disappear in the playoffs again. Is that enough time? (If the Yanks even make it.)

Hmmm, A-Rod was already the kid's favorite player, you don't think the kid maybe had some kinda ulterior motive there when he saw A-Rod standing there? Not saying that's necessarily what happened, just food for thought. (The kid would have to be pretty stupid if it were the case, anyway, but no one accused the kid of being smart.)

I see where Derek Lee rejected a trade that would have sent him to the Angels at the deadline, so he must have had a change of heart. I don't think he was having that great of a season but he's a terrific defender and a class act.
