Not only is Albert now getting a main event push, but he's got new theme music and a new name: A-Train

I expect a lot of people to criticize this in the coming days, but I'm going to wait until I've seen the show before I judge these changes.

For all we know, Albert's push won't be all for naught. A new look, theme, and name helped many people before. And while Albert's not an easy guy to like in most aspects, he's not overly terrible if used right. Heyman has made lemonade out of several lemons handed to him. I have a feeling he's going to make Albert a lot better than he has been so far.

The name is questionable, but who knows. I once thought The Rock was a stupid name, as well as "Triple H", but it doesn't take long for some things to catch on in wrestling.

A-Train is much better than just Albert. The name Albert is just not intimidating.

Maybe they can bring back Ice Train too - then they'll be the AICE Express. Anyone who gets that is a bigger old school gaming nerd than I am.

In all seriousness, it could work. For a while there, Albert was getting over fairly well on Velocity. If he's given focus, a proper character, and a SHIRT, he should do fine as a power wrestler. Hell, he may even feud with Brock somewhere down the road... but if they're just gonna feed him to 'Taker, maybe not.

Eh, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

From The Mark Report #1(below): "Albert's not THAT bad for a guy his size, and he's a half-way decent talker. The guy is in severe need of some kind of gimmick overhaul and name change, though."

Okay, WWE folks, WHO'S READING MY STUFF? Between this and the swiping of my little joke about RVD and Booker(one probably being in the opener and the other probably putting over Bautista), I'm starting to wonder...

;)

I dunno...the hairy back gets him heat, and any heat is good heat.

Undertaker has mentioned many times that one of his future picks for superstar is Albert, so don't count him as roadkill just yet!

Undertaker... you mean the same guy who swore up and down that bringing KroniK to the WWF was a good idea?

Yes, they should. Have you seen the Bears offense?

A-Train is better than Albert. Now they need to put him in pants and give him some gear that shows off his attention grabbing back hair while covering his slob like gut.

The A-Train. Now if the A-Train could just do something about his girlish arms and hairy man breasts, he may be on his way to headlining the next Saturday Night Main Event. Wait, this isn't the 80's?

I can't wait for Michael Cole's genius commentary. You know Tazz, this big A-Train, it's like a trainwreck when he hits you.

A-Train. B-squared. Maybe Vince has decided to go back to the beginning. Blow up the current fan base, and focus on developing the Sesame Street fan base as the fan base of the future. Idea for next week, focus on Benoit C-God.

I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.

If it makes you feel any better dMr, I laughed.

And Albert may well turn out to be good, but after hearing that Mattitude could have been the one to do the deed to Rey, anything is a letdown.

Look, let's face it: Some people are just friggin' ugly, and Albert's one of those people.

I don't want to have to look at him one second longer than is absolutely necessary, which is NEVER. So know now that when he comes on my TV, that's when I will IMMEDIATELY hit the remote.

[ And who the hell is doing Vince's consumer research that mandates someone like Albert gets a push? ... dumb, dumb, dumb ... ]

Pretty sad that you are watching wrestling just to check out how hot the men are-
Give Albert a chance! There have been tons of ugly stars in the WWF over time. Look at Andre! Hacksaw? MOOLAH?

Cheap shot.

Were it true, you're right -- that would indeed be sad.

But the concept of "U-GLY" knows not the boundaries of sexual orientation.

Hell, look at Jacqueline. (on second thought ... don't)

Bottom line: the dude's digusting. Throw in the fact that he can't wrestle and sucks on the mike, where's the incentive for me giving Albert one minute of my time?

After all, it's not like he's a rookie. Albert sucked back in the day, he sucks now, and he will continue to suck, however they package or push him, from now until whenever.

Albert is kinda fun to watch. I was a big fan of him in the T&A days (one of the most underrated tag teams ever). He can move pretty fast for a big guy. I think that he'll do well with this. Of course, having him in the ring with Edge won't hurt matters.

On a side note, I've changed my picture to reflect my support in the Albert push. Go Albert! Prove the smarks wrong!

I definitely miss the weed references! Road Dogg talking about going out back to "burn one", Godfather pimpin' hoes and rollin fatties, even the fact that Jeff hardy HAD to be stoned to attempt half the crazy shit he did in the ring!
