Ok, let me just say I was PUMPED going into this show tonight. It was my first PPV and I had AWESOME seats. I pushed myself as far into mark mode as possible, too, in order to avoid any overanalyzing of the matches and enjoy it as much as I could.

Before the show started, they had one of those t-shirt cannons. Well, I never luck out with stuff like that so I barely bothered. When they shot a t-shirt toward my section, it went well above me and I turned around, and the rows behind me were all lunging for it.. well, whoever tried to catch it didn't, and it bounced straight back and I reached behind me and made a SWEET catch. It was just a Tazz shirt, but I felt pretty damn cool for catching it.

A fun game we played before the show started was "spot the smark". There was a guy on the floor not far away from us holding up a "Too Much Poochie" sign. Which one of you was that? *g*

The opening tag match was great, the crowd was hot. I think the world was pleased in unison that Bookerdust FINALLY won.

Benoit vs. Guerrerro didn't really have the attention of all the the crowd, but Swan and I were nuts for it. Great stuff, and it's awesome that I got to see one of these classic matches from a couple of the Smackdown 6 live.

We FLIPPED for the Kurt/Show match, it was just so well done. I GOT TO SEE KURT WIN THE TITLE LIVE!! Yay! Brock got the loudest pop of the night, easily.

The main event seemed pretty boring in person. Don't know how well it played on tv, but it was just a lot of outside the ring stuff that we had to watch on the tron, so it didn't really keep my attention. Plus, how was I supposed to be enthusiastic about that after Kurt won the title.

So we left and began the long trek down Alligator Alley back home. In the two-hour stretch of road on swamp that is Alligator Alley, there is ONE gas station... and I missed the exit to it. So here I am, sweating it out and worrying that I'm gonna run out of gas and then get eaten by alligators when I get out of the car and try to flag someone down, and we manage to make it the next gas station, with the needle damn near empty. So I send Swan in to pay for some gas, and I'm digging through my purse and I look up and EDDIE GUERRERRO WALKS BY. Swan comes back out, with this look on his face, and I get out of the car and he says, "Chris Benoit is inside the gas station!" So I scramble for a pen and out ticket stubs, and I go inside, and we got Eddie's and Benoit's autographs. They were super nice, and we felt bad for bothering them while they were buying their copious amounts of Powerbars, but it was BENOIT AND GUERRERRO! That's like dying and going to smark heaven! We told both that we enjoyed their match the most of the night (which was true), and we made sure to thank them for all the years of awesome wrestling. It was the perfect end to a great night. And I am SO glad I missed the exit for that first gas station!

Were there many You Suck chants for Angle's intro? I heard a few but it seemed like it wasn't catching on. That was odd to hear that music without the You Suck chants that have become like second nature.

They need to start chanting AN-GLE! AN-GLE!

I really think this Angle face run will work a lot better because its the fans who have turned Kurt Angle into a babyface. Through his hard work and consistent entertainment, he turned himself into a face and those are the best kind of faces.

I hope they keep both him and Brock faces for WrestleMania and them have them do a respect thing after. How great would a Lesnar/Angle tag team run be? Not like a permanent team but allies on TV.

I wish they would've given the 10 minutes from that Dawn Marie segment to the Benoit/Guerrero match. Those guys really need a good 30 minutes to showcase their best work. Both men, especially Benoit, looked to have some pretty good shiners by the end of the match. They really laid it into each other.

There were some "you suck" chants, but it wasn't as much as I'd expected it to be. The crowd really hated Big Show, and Albert when he did his run-in. There were a few "Let's go Angle" and "Ang-le" chants during the match, as well as the occasional "Big Show Sucks" chant.

The crowd was mostly pro-Angle, but it was mostly because they hated Show so much, and loved Brock.

They weren't selling Angle's new shirt at the concession stand, either, which bummed me out. I wanted to buy it. I ended up getting the Brock shirt instead.

The Dawn Marie segment was over with all the pervs of the crowd. For me, the best part of that was watching Al Wilson get embarassed/upset during the naughtiest parts. He'd go and hang his head on the turnbuckle and cover his eyes.

Oh, the "SUBMIT" one? That's a surprise... I got mine at the Smackdown taping.

Nope, they didn't have it. But I already have two Kurt shirts, so maybe it's for the best.

They did have the uber-lame "FREAK U" Kane shirt, and the Triple H jersey, though, meh.

I also was at the PPV (my first one!) and I thought it was 7 degrees of awesomeness! Angle-Show was crazy over, and HBK's table bump was just SICK... he was out on the floor a good 5-10 mins after the match ended, and when he got up he was moving around as if to make sure all his limbs were still attached. Oh, and the stage caught on fire after the Kane pyro!

You are very lucky to have met Benoit and Guerrero. I mean, those two were in the ring hating each other hours before and now they are in the same gas station???? What is going on? Did they make up and become friends again after the show? Next you're going to tell me that HBK and HHH are really good friends!

Seriously, though, that rocks. I met RVD one time and my friends have heard the story so many times they walk out of the room when I start it...

*laughs* This guy I work with was supposed to go to the show with us, but decided not to at the last minute. I'm pretty sure that by the end of the week, he WILL be strangling me.

I'm still floating. What a perfect end to an awesome night it was. I was floored by how nice both Benoit and Guerrerro were, but then, they were probably just grateful that the fans they met up with didn't make any racial slurs to Eddie or some CLEVER comment about Benoit's missing tooth. I can only imagine some of the shit wrestlers hear from random people on a daily basis. Hell, my boyfriend was wearing a Kurt Angle t-shirt and got about 15-20 "You sucks!" from fans who walked by us in the arena.

Chavo and Hector Guerrerro were at the gas station, too. I said "hi" to Chavo, but didn't get an autograph because I felt like I was bothering the whole group enough as it was. Although we did have a laugh later saying that we should have asked Hector to sign an autograph as "The Gobbledygooker".

Amusing side note: Benoit wrote "Smackdown '02" under his signature on our ticket. He's probably proud as hell he's not on RAW. *g*

Teehee... that reminds me... (digs out his signs and stubs)

* Brian Hebner signed his "Brian Hebner, WWE Ref 2002". Think it's been a good year for him?
* Rey signed everything I saw (my stub and a few shoes included) "Rey 619". What, no last name?

Wonder if you saw anyone else I'd know there... one of my friends from the mothership went. Did you, perchance, see an "ANYA" sign?

Didn't see an ANYA sign. I am still wondering which of you smarks had the "TOO MUCH POOCHIE" sign, though. Where was your friend sitting? I was dead center across from the 'tron, first row of the lower level.

She was in 111... opposite side of the entrance. That section was in some shots... you might even be able to see her. If you need a pic, take a look at Acmlm's board's photo album. Her name was... well, look at the sign.

Whoa, *I* was in section 111. First row, actually. I'll go check it out. I was probably sitting right next to her or something. :P
