Ring Of Honor is very pleased to announce that "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles will return to ROH for a very special appearance on February 25th in Dayton, Ohio. Styles has been following ROH and has requested to return for a match against his former protege Jimmy Rave.
So, is TNA gonna' be out of business by then, or have they decided that, with RF out of the picture, ROH can use their guys again?
I think it's a concession to Styles' desire to do ROH again more than anything, and it allows him to make money and keeps him happy. Feinstein being out doesn't hurt this.
ROH is billing it as a one-time only thing for now, so we'll have to see how it all plays out with TNA's future over the next few months.
As for the match itself, they definitely could've done something more noteworthy, but Styles/Rave has plenty of history and if they do plan on pushing Rave, a win over Styles would be a decent way to really kickstart it. Their match from the TPI in September was pretty solid.
TNA probably realizes that they can't keep stopping people like AJ from earning decent ROH paydays now that they have a reduced schedule. Also, they are probably trying to please the harcore fans since they always chant anti-TNA comments at indy shows.
Not sure if this'll count as a spoiler, but thought I'd list that just in case. Anyway, over at Rajah WWF they have a news bite stating that the Austin-Bischoff battle at Bad Blood will be a "redneck triathalon." Sooooo ...
