Well, I think Sproles has gotta be feeling pretty good now that everybody just collectively forgot about him fumbling it in the end zone.

This just in: Mike Scifres is a pretty good punter.

Peyton Manning would surely give up his MVP to have won this game - unfortunately, they don't let you do that in this league.

I'm sure Dungy hates the OT rules now.

The bettor in me hated the result, but the Baltimore fan in me loved it. I was torn the whole game. It felt so wrong rooting for Indy.

What a GREAT game.

Sproles is just awesome. I have to cheer for the running back who is smaller than I am (currently). Of course, A.J. Smith will probably trade him when he becomes a free agent, so...

Guess what? I *like* Norv Turner. Yeah. I said it.

I would really feel smart about picking Sproles in my playoff fantasy league if I didn't also pick Vincent Jackson.

What do you think was going through LDT's mind as he sat on that sideline? Because you KNOW San Diego has its new RB next season and it ain't him.

Yes, because one big game against a team that exists for no purpose besides choking in the postseason is the same as Tomlinsons years of being the best running back in the league.

Years of being the best running back in the league means nothing. Shaun Alexander can attest to that. This isn't even so much about Sproles breaking out, but more about Tomlinson's struggles and injuries throughout the season. The Chargers already turfed one prolific backup. I don't think they'll want to make the same mistake twice, especially if Sproles does an encore next week against the Steelers/Titans.

It is funny after all the years of Dungy and Polian having rules changed due to the Patriots making contact with Colt receivers that it was a defensive holding call against the Colts on what appeared to be an uncatchable ball that cost them the game.
Tip to Cromartie: If Reggie Wayne is running, the play is live. Perhaps you should start moving BEFORE he passes you, not when he already has run by you for 20 yards.

He was probably thinking, "Where's my helmet with the visor?"

Next week's going to be interesting. I can't imagine Sproles being able to have back-to-back huge weeks, especially against the Steelers or Titans. I'd like to see LdT recover enough to show that he's still capable of being his old self, but I doubt that will happen. He may have declined, but hopefully he won't fall off the same cliff that Shawn Alexander did.

The Colts lost a first-round playoff game in which they were favored to an 8-8 team with their best player on the sidelines instead of going *deep* into the playoffs while riding a nine-game winning streak and having their stud QB just named the league's Most Valuable Player???

I'm not sure when, or who, he lost LT to. Since when is it LdT or LDT?

Sproles was also good the last game of the regular season. However, with his size, how long can he be a feature back with 20-25 carries a week? 10-15 maybe along with return duties. If Snyder hadn't left K-State Sproles senior year, I think he may have gotten more play sooner.

Yeah and Brett Favre didn't throw six interceptions in the playoffs against the Rams because he had won a Super Bowl five years earlier. Great point. As soon as one season in about 10 defines the trend over that span even when all the other nine seasons contradict the result of that one season this will be making some sort of point. In the meantime, the Colts won the Super Bowl in one year completely surrounded by other years in which they repeatedly got booted by the same teams.

I guess I can say the Bucs didn't have a history of losing for their first 25 years because they eventually won a Super Bowl.

There are those who think Tomlinson should never been called LT in the first place, since that's Lawrence Taylor's nickname.

It's like if there was an NBA player named Montrell Jones and people started calling him MJ.

Personally, I've always called him LDT. It's not that he lost it, it's that he never should have had it. LT is Lawrence Taylor.

My point is that saying that the Colts exist for the SOLE purpose of choking in the postseason is ludicrous since, you know, they managed to win a Super Bowl.

It's funny that people think that teams that made the playoffs are chokers. I'd say that the teams that didn't even make the playoffs are chokers. And of course only one team each year can finish the playoffs without a loss.

Getting to the playoffs is a victory. Ask the Patriots if they'd rather lose in the first round or not be in the playoffs at all.

It would have no impact on the seeding at this point, but San Diego is 4-1, only loss at Baltimore, not 3-2.
