I absolutely hate that the Jets have made it this far. So if they go all the way, we're either getting a Jets/Packers rematch of that dazzling 9-0 score from earlier in the year (**groan**) or we're getting...the Jets and the Bears...(**GROAN**)
I hate the Jets for making me root for Big Ben again.
"You wear a disguise to look like human guys, but you're not a man, you're a chicken, Boo!"
New England receiver Wes Welker sat out the Patriots' first offensive series in Sunday's 28-21 playoff loss against the Jets amid reports that he was benched for mocking New York coach Rex Ryan during the week.
I understand there's a time to make a point, but I would think that now wouldn't be that time, especially considering Welker's a first offender.

I am much more shocked by this result than I was the Seahawks over the Saints. And the Jets really dominated them, I think.
In hindsight, I think the turning point was the botched fake punt, if Chung fields it clean that's a huge play, instead it gave the Jets great field position and they made it a two-score game.
The whole thing reminded me of Super Bowl 42. (There was even a Tyree-esque helmet-aided catch.) I can't believe the Patriots let themselves believe they were untouchable again.
Booo. Go Aaron Rodgers and the Pack.
Holy fuck shit motherfucker shit. Read comics. Fuck shit shit fuck shit I sold out when I did my job. Fuck fuck fuck shit fuck. Sorry had to do it....

The playoffs ARE a different animal...after all, the regular season saw:
-Seattle lose 34-19 to NO -The Jets lose 45-3 to NE -The Pack lose 20-17 to Atlanta
So just because there was an ugly (or boring) game between the two in the regular season doesn't mean it'll happen that way in the playoffs.

I think it was more about protecting Welker and keeping the game from becoming a war full of cheap shots and personal fouls. They weren't the superior team as the last time they met would seem. I still think they were the better team especially at home. Maybe the word genius and Bill Belichick shouldn't be used in the same sentence as much now.
Pats have nobody to blame but themselves. Brady's pick when they had that big drive in the first quarter, putting themselves out of FG range on that big second-half drive and ending up with zero points for about eight minutes with the ball, Crumpler's drop in the end zone that only gave them a field goal instead of a TD on their first score....it all added up badly.
I'm not shocked that the Patriots loss, but in how they loss. Losing the turnover battle, committing more penalties, allowing the Jets D to have their way most of the game. I thought if the Jets were going to upset the Pats, it would be an offensive slug fest since NE hadn't scored less than 31 points since week 9. Heck of a job by New York.
Now that said, I'm with the rest of you: I hate that the Jets are winning. I can't stand all of their arrogance. YOU JACKASSES HAVEN'T REALLY WON ANYTHING! No division titles, no conference champions, nothing! So shut the hell up until you actually do. And even though I love New York, I especially hate that all of a sudden, they forgot they were totally a Giants town and everyone became a bandwagon fan in the last two years. Fuck the Jets and all of their fans and includes members of my own family.

Spoken like a true Giants fan...
As a long-suffering Jets fan I love the change in the culture Sexy Rexy has triggered. After 3 decades of "Same-Ole-Jets" negativity, we finally have some swagger.
I'd rather have a coach that wears his heart on his sleeve than a bore like Mangini.
But it's ok, hate on them all you want, that's how Gang Green likes it.
I really wanted to see the Pats not only beat the Jets, but to embarrass the Jets. I would have handled a loss to the Steelers a lot better than I've taken this one.
Weird game.
Edit: Also Belichick's record seems much better in bigger games with the grey hoodie on.

I enjoy the Jets swagger.
Now we'll just have to endure the constant "let's put a New York team on a pedestal" from every major sports/broadcast station in the media, though.
We get that New York is a big market and they make you a lot of money. Doesn't mean they have to treat them as, like, the second coming of a religious deity or something.
I've felt the same way about the Pats for close to ten years now.
Agreed. I'm no fan of the Jets, but as a Colts fan I'll root for anyone over the Patriots.
If the Jets are gonna win the Super Bowl, this is gotta be the year they do it, you figure. Getting past the Steelers won't be easy, though, and neither would the Super Bowl itself.

I'm no Jets fan, but it was fun watching them exorcise their Colts and Pats demons in back-to-back games. I bought into the hype of this game big time. When Harris intercepted Brady my heart was thumping.
I love watching Danny Woodhead run against the Jets. So much rage.
