A pretty good game - definitely a different kind of game - more bruising and defense-oriented, but fun to watch when I wasn't involuntarily taking a nap. (I'm old!)
The Super Bowl matchup is set, and it's going to be interesting to see what two weeks of healing will do for this Steeler team.
That's all I got. GO

The offense had consisted of getting a break in the punting game followed by a pass interference inside the 5. It had worked twice, and they were due the ball at the 40 down 2 after another punt return. Instead, stuck back inside the 15, move the ball a little, pick 6, good-night. They must have been dancing at NBC, because at least the get the national team in the Steelers. An early line has it at Steelers -7 against the Cardinals with the over/under at 47. Thought the line would have been closer to 9-10, at which point I would have loved the Cardinals, based on backdoor cover potential and the Steelers probably not getting over 30.

And when Ed Reed intercepts the ball, he takes it to the house.
HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?!
I hope McGahee is ok. His whole body went limp after that hit. He was moving his arms and legs, so that's a good sign. | It's False

Man, for all that hoopla about Ed Reed, he sure was quiet those last few games, wasn't he?

Even if you release Stone, you still have 52 other men who contributed to a loss. Would it have been any different if the penalty hadn't happened? Yes, it'd be 23-21 (at best) instead of 23-14.
As the saying goes '...and then the wheels fell off', and that really personifies the Ravens on Sunday. They looked like a team that hadn't had a break in 17 weeks, a team that was battered and running on fumes, a team playing with more heart than they had anything else.

Even before the unfortunate collision with McGahee and Clark, there was a lot of beat up players on both sides. Hopefully, Hines Ward will be good to go on SB sunday; I think next to Roethlisberger and Palamalu, he's the key player for the Steelers. In the end, the difference to me was the QBs. Big Ben getting 250+ yds. against Ed Reed and the like was pretty impressive. Flacco, on the other hand, well... let's just say he had a good year until this point and move on. No need to pile on the poor kid anymore than the Pittsburgh D did.

When I heard that some nobody was starting because Smith and Boller were hurt, I thought it would be a 5-11 season. I'm glad I was wrong. I have a good feeling about next season.
