Well, my prediction came true but I never expected it would happen to this way. This really wasn't the Patriots winning so much as the Ravens blowing it. Evans REALLY should have held onto that winning touchdown. Cundiff missing the field goal is huge, but it's not like overtime is a guarantee - the Patriots could have just as easily won it there.

Twitter is done for me as well. I think the celebrity New England fans lost their minds when it was 20-16. It was a game of two teams, I hate and the first half was brutal to watch. If anything, hopefully this will mean the end of the Ravens with Lewis and Reed. Also, that Drew Bleedsoe to Craft was a bit awkward.
The Wee Baby Sheamus.
Twitter: @realjoecarfley its a bit more toned down there. A bit.

I joked right after the game that Billy Cundiff's shanked chip shot was so terrible that it literally collapsed Twitter.
You call it a joke, I say that is the most likely explanation. Most of the trending topics on Twitter during the game were ABOUT the game, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if things kicked into another gear once that field goal sailed wide left.
For those of you who still can't get on, here's a synopsis of most of the popular references/trends. Take your pick:
Billy Cundiff is Scott Norwood
Billy Cundiff is Ray Finkle
Marlo Stanfield/The Wire is coming after Lee Evans
I had a terrible feeling that whole game. It had all the makings of a Patriots collapse, and the something happened that the Pats haven't had since their last Super Bowl ... A little late game luck. That was a stressful three hours.
Hopefully Gronkowski is okay.
BIG Vince Wilfork was a monster.
And it is amazing Brady came out of that goal line dive in one piece after being folded up like a card table.

Gronkowski came back for the 4th, so he should be ok for the big game. The funniest part about that is that he was injured by Bernard "I tore Tom Brady's ACL" Pollard. Pollard needs to consider adopting a full-on heel persona for Patriots games at this point.

According to the announcers, Pollard was also involved in the play in Houston that took Wes Welker out of the 2009 playoffs. That is just freaky.
I blame Baltimore's coaching staff for the missed FG. They screwed up getting the FG team on the field late, and Condiff had no time to set for the FG and rushed it. I know, Condiff could have called a timeout himself also.
The Ravens got the type of game they wanted, and they still lost.
Personally, I would've thought long and hard about running it on 3rd-and-1 if I were the Ravens, then calling their last TO with appx. 15 seconds to go. Gives you two shots at the end zone, then a FG if they're incomplete. Of course, by throwing it on 3rd-and-1, I'm sure they felt comfortable having Cundiff kick the tying FG from 32 yards out at the time.

Risk in that situation, unless you spike the ball after getting the first down, is if you use your last time out in order to run and get a few extra shots at the end zone, you take the risk of a sack ending the game or a receiver getting stopped short of the goal line ending the game. At that point you have to protect the tie option.
