I guess everybody else fell asleep during the second half, too. ;-) The Jets threatened to make it interesting when they opened up that lead in the second quarter, but I think deep down we (and they?) had to get that feeling about what was to come when it only took Manning a minute to drive down at the end of the first half and close it to 17-13.
Since CBS has the Super Bowl, I must ask these questions now so we can look for them in two weeks:
Is SuperVision™ good for anything beyond turning a .75 second play into a 30 second replay?
Is Steve Tasker capable of beginning a question with anything besides "Talk to us about...?"
I thought the Jets only chance in the 4th quarter was if they had gone for it 4th and 5 with 8 and change to go at their own 25. Punt, Colts take more than 5 minutes off before kicking a field goal, game over. If the Jets had held that 17-6 lead at the half, or even 17-9 with them getting the ball to start the second half, I would have thought maybe they could have held on. But, at 17-13 you knew what was coming. Of course, great job by Rex Ryan's super duper defense holding onto an 11 point lead.
Brett Favre already killed Green Bay's spirit, now he will probably kill Haiti's spirit too!
The Colts are a very good team, but one of the more uninteresting Super Bowl participants of all time IN MY EYES. Peyton just went to one a few years back, and I couldn't care less about any of their other players.

At least Tasker asked Caldwell a specific football-related question after the first half and got a better answer than the usual "well, we have momentum..." type of response. Also, that was the first time I've ever heard Jim Caldwell speak. He's not a hologram after all!
Kirk, crackers are a family food. Happy families. Maybe single people eat crackers, we don't know. Frankly, we don't want to know. It's a market we can do without.
Will the Jets ever make it this far again? History says no, but I think they're a defensive pickup and a marquee receiver (no, Braylon Edwards doesn't count) away from completing the puzzle and going to the Super Bowl. Sanchez and Greene played like champs and that defense is beastly. They'll be back.
For the Super Bowl, they need to keep cutting away to Eli in the luxury suite. It's awkward-type fun.
MacGruber! Making life-saving inventions out of household materials! MacGruber! Getting in and out of ultra-sticky situations! MacGruber! The guy's a freakin' genius! MACGRUBER!
Good luck getting that theme song out of your head

The Jets made it in 1998, so chances are they'll be back again. Winning one or two playoff games isn't the hardest thing in the world.

Norv Turner's on the line, he appears to have an opposing view

I dont like this idea at all. Sapp is a pro bowl player in his prime. Yes he had an off year, but I think letting him go, especially to a NFC rival like Philly would be a huge mistake.
