I'm curious where all the love is for the Arrested Development season 3 DVD.

Having missed most of the season when it ran on FOX, I am in the midst of catching up on it all... and liking it more than I expected. The first couple episodes soured me on watching the rest of the season, but it's possibly the best one of all.

Haven't watched the commentaries yet, but anyone who has is welcome to share their thoughts on whether any are really good or bad.

My only complaint is that when using the subtitles, upon turning the subtitles off, the French subtitle is turned on and appears whenever there is a sign or a building's name in the shot. Very irritating, but it might be limited to the Canadian release - something I'd like to confirm with someone else.

A few friends of mine and I watched it a couple weeks ago, and I was in the same boat as you, having missed a few episodes - most of them due to them being aired out of nowhere and not knowing about them until it was too late. Two of the people I watched it with hadn't seen a single episode of season one or two, and were in stitches the entire time.

I understand that it probably wouldn't be for everybody, but how FOX came to the conclusion this show was completely inaccessible I'll never know.

Great, great season.

AWESOME in-joke from one of the Tamborless commentaries:

Cast: Man, Tambor's so's like he thinks everyone's there for him and him alone....
Tony Hale: Yeah, Jeffrey's great...maybe we should call him?

To those who say people wouldn't look; they wouldn't be interested; they're too complacent, indifferent and insulated, I can only reply: There is, in one reporter's opinion, considerable evidence against that contention. But even if they are right, what have they got to lose? Because if they are right, and this instrument is good for nothing but to entertain, amuse and insulate, then the tube is flickering now and we will soon see that the whole struggle is lost. This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it is merely wires, and lights, in a box.-Edward R. Murrow

I don't know if the deal's still going on, but Costco had instant $10 rebates on all three seasons last weekend. You could get S1 and S2 for $13.99 each, and S3 for $8.90!

It's weird how the two guest stars listed on the back are Scott Baio and Justine Bateman, but no mention of the Oscar-winning movie star with a major role in four episodes.

Speaking of which,

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
that was some amazing Sixth Sense acting/directing, because I've rewatched the episodes pre-reveal, and she is *insanely* retarded. It's just so blindly obvious watching a second time, but I had no idea before they revealed it.

Idle hand spend time at the genitals, and you know how God hates that.

The original It's A Trap! thread is here, but for anyone seeing it for the first time, here's your chance to sound off on it. I actually didn't see this until long after the DVD came out.
