Do you have a wrestler that once he comes on television, you immediately turn the show off and have no real urge to watch the end of. I mean unless the main event is going to be worth it or if you know something will happen (like Jericho's appearence, even though these are rare nowadays).
Who do you hate? Who in the WWE makes you turn off the tube and pick up a book or go socially interact? For me, It's Jeff Hardy. I wish he'd just leave. And he could take his brother with him just to make things completely perfect. Take Lita and pair her up with Essa Rios again. Essa Rios ruled.
Sad as it may be, no one wrestler has the power to make me turn off the television.. yeah, there's some guys I don't like as much as others, but there's no one I really hate. I appreciate all the work that they all do for us, the fans. I blame the Internet for making me this way!
Before I had Internet access (or at least used it to find out stuff about wrestling), I had no problems hating some people.. I hated Stone Cold for fighting the Hart Foundation, and cheered Shawn Michaels for his dirty backstabbing attacks on Austin leading into their Wrestlemania match (I must've been pretty clueless at the time in regards to the Bret Hart screwjob.. but even back then I still liked heels, go figure). Now though, I don't hate anyone, and I've been thinking and can't even come up with many people I dislike. The Big Boss Man when he tries to wrestle is all I'm coming up with. Okay, and Justin Credible does nothing for me either, Albert's just blah, and I find Raven really boring in the ring. But none of these guys make me change the channel..
This is not about backstage bullshit or insider crap. The internet has nothing to do with my topic. I mean wrestler's who you find annoying. Whether it be wrestling ability, promo's, ANYTHING. Because I hate everything about Jeff Hardy. Extreme, my ass. Obnoxious interviews, promos, gimmick, "worker", everything. But thats just my opinion.
That's my point.. I don't really hate any of the wrestlers, or the characters they portray. I have my favourites, but there's none that are bad enough to make me want to change the channel. I'm not saying you're wrong for hating Jeff Hardy or anyone else, I can understand why someone would, I just don't. I used to, but haven't for a while now. I know I'm weird and accept it, though.
(edit) Okay, seeing another thread reminded me.. I don't really like Jerry Lawler and the way he's commentating. Part of me longs for the return to the announce table of Paul Heyman. I'm tired of puppies. Well, not tired of puppies, but tired of having him rant about them. I'm tired of having Stacy come out and do a table dance in front of him, and she's only done one! So put me down for disliking Lawler.. it's hard to change the channel when he's on though, as he's on two hours a week. Grr.
There's a few people I really don't like. But Bradshaw is easily on top of the list. I don't want to see him on my TV, even on job duty. Which I think really shows something, because even with him jobbing to Dreamer a couple of weeks ago, I didn't enjoy it because I'd rather him not even be on TV.
I despise everything about this sub-human. I hate his wrestling, I hate his hoss attitude, I hate his ring attire, I hate that everytime I look at him I see a harasser/ bully, I hate that he made real uncomfortable TV on Live Excess being an absolute drunken ass towards Trish. His interviews are offensive and not fun. (I loved texas/necks gimmicks, loved Austin's, Takers biker gimmick has it's real great moments. But I HATE Bradshaw).
As for turning off the TV. I told this story a month ago on Heat. Sat down ready to watch heat. I see Lilian doing backstage interview to start off the show (bonus, Terri doing PR overseas, get to see Lil) then Bradshaw showed up. He was having a feud with Nowinski (on Raw) and he started talking about how he never cared about his grades, all he cared about was drinking beers how many girls he harassed/date raped (something like that). And went on and on with his basic unfunny, misogamist promo. And Lilian had to stand there smiling like she found it amusing or interesting... Heat theme hits and then out comes Bradshaw. And I sat there thinking, "Do I really want to see this, NO" *click off the TV* I was planning to come back 10 minutes later started doing a TV guide crossword someone called and the entire show came and went and I totally forgot to turn the TV back on. (and I missed a Molly/Jacqualine match and as much as a women mark I am I was pissed that I missed that). If it wasnt' for Bradshaw I'd never turn off the TV in the first place.
The best part of it was the week before. Heat started with a trish/Victoria match and heat did a 1.3, one week after with the Bradshaw pathetic interview and I'm sure pathetic match, Heat dropped to a 0.9. Which I thought wow I guess a few people copied my lead.
I like most employees of the WWE (if I didn't I wouldn't support the company) and the few I don't like I see a silver lining of one or two things I like about them. But there is nothing positive or likable with Bradshaw.
(edited by Net Hack Slasher on 15.8.02 0425) I don't get it, everyone loves rats, but they don't want to drink the rats milk?
I agree about Bradshaw, well, 90% agree. I thought he was somewhat funny with Faarooq, when the two were playing cards and mirth and hilarity (and ass-whoopings) would inevitably follow.
Since the split, he's pissed me off 100%, and I wasn't even all that positively inclined towards him to begin with. There's now nothing redeemable about his character or his wrestling at all. Imagine my surprise and delight when Tommy Dreamer retained his Hardcore Title against Bradshaw recently. Hopefully that marks the end of Bradshaw on Raw. (I could care less about Heat, I almost never get a chance to watch it anyway.)

You're all so WONDERFUL. Why did they ever have to remove you from the continuity? You'd have made for MARVELOUS stories. You WILL make marvelous stories. And the FIRST story of the new world will be a story of REVENGE! -- The Psycho Pirate, Animal Man 23, May 1990.
Hate to sound like a sheep, but I hate Bradshaw too, for all of the above reasons, and Albert, for the above reasons. I also hate Triple H, but that's just because I'm a Jerichoholic.

THE AWESOME UNDERTAKER drives out - damn, how did those STEEL steps rise up onto their ends and out of the way of - hey wait, I see DUDES there! They must be soulless minions of Big Evil's Red Devil Underwood Deviled Ham Team Evil. What? - CRZ, back to his old antics
I agree, I can't stand Bradshaw anymore. He was tolerable when in the APA, but now he has very few redeeming qualities. And how come JR always has to mention the fact the he went to Abilene Christian? Does he have a promo deal with them?
The other wrestler I really can't stand is X-Pac. I thought it was great that during the Invasion, he was the *ONLY* heel in the entire WWF. So glad he's gone now, but I would have liked to see Kane destroy him to get his mask back.
-The Big Kat "It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care." -Peter Gibbons, Office Space
I chime in on X-Pac. But my current unfavorite (since Little Sean's off my TV right now) would have to be Rikishi. He just does nothing for me, and I don't need to see any more of his backside. Opinions is fun, ain't it?
I was suprised at this thread: around 10 posts and no hogan haters. Shocking.
Hmm, since everyone's already chimed in on Big Dumb Bradshaw (TM), Rikishi and Lawler, there's really no reason for me to post here. But I suppose I will anyway.
Actually, do you know who's getting on my nerves recently - through no fault of his own, mind you - John Cena. Please, guys, I know he's talented, but please give me a reason to give a damn about this guy. Please.

big show gets me wound up - he has the physical attributes to be as big (in the fame sense of the word) but just doesnt seem motivated. he piles on the pounds, and gets opportuntiy after opportunity
i will never forget that program at rumble 2000 with rock - big show's promos were HORRIBLE, yet still because of his size he gets push after push after push. more talented wrestlers don't get a tenth of the chances he gets, yet they give twenty times more effort. if he was trying really hard but not quite getting it right i wouldnt have a problem, but he just doesnt look like he cares - he has his fat contract (is it a ten year deal? i cant remember) and that suits him, but it looks like it has killed his motivation
phew i feel so much beter for getting that out of my system
I don't hate anyone right now, the only thing I ever hated was face Austin. God, it made me sick when he went around, stunning everybody, and the people were going apeshit for this! And when he was defeating 10 other wrestlers at once, never jobbing clean, this really made me hate him. As a heel, he was the complete opposite, he was highly enjoyable, and I think he had amazing matches.
Oh, and Kevin Nash, but I guess he's finally someone I don't need to worry about anymore!
"Wanting people to listen, you can't just tap them on the shoulders anymore, you gotta hit them with a sledgehammer!"
I couldn't stand X-Pac and I'm glad he's not on my tv these days. He was only interesting, to me, when he was paired up with Kane. Outside of that, ugh! I can't stand him, or his 'can't be beaten in singles matches' thing he had going on. I'm cringing as I type.
I also can't stand Lita. When she was with Essa Rios, she was all right. She needs to work on her wrestling skilll, seriously. That promo with Chyna, ugh! I mean, how bad do you have to be, to have been a 'wrestler' coming into the WWE and suck and then have Trish Stratus, a friggin' fitness model, come in and train to be better than you.
The Godfather was never a favorite of mine either. I know, all the 'hoes' were to get attention of the guys and all. I just hated the time they ate up to get in the ring, saunter about, and get out of the ring. Ugh!
I watch Mark Henry just on the off chance he'll do something interesting, which he occasionally has. I'm not sure what his being black has to do with his (unwanted to you) presence on your TV screen though, Grimis.
Bradshaw, however, I agree is annoying. He's all "Haw haw, Ah'm gonna whup yer butt with my cowbell and put a big stupid sticker on the belt so even when someone more deserving wins it people will think of me." So you're from Texas. Big deal. There are armadillos in Texas as well. Why not dress up like one? I'm surprised your finisher isn't the Alamo. You're supposed to be a smart guy, so stop acting like a stereotypical redneck.
Nidia is amusing as the "trailer trash" girlfriend, but the rest of them don't have anything good. I keep hoping the Show will do something redeeming, but he keeps disappointing me.
Triple H is a dead ringer for "Buzzer" of the Dreadnoks. Just give him some mirror shades and teach him to say "Blimey, Zartan".
I could live without Brock Lesnar. Just how an Ivan Drago mega-monster is supposed to be "the next big thing" and save the company in a downtime, I have no idea. Mega-kudos to whoever finally beats his ass and burries him in the long list of King Kong Bundy, Zeus, etc.
I hated Road Dogg too.
"Tonight our bed is cold, lost in the darkness of our love. God have mercy on a man, who doubts what he's sure of." -Bruce Springsteen
-I've never been a fan of Bret Hart. I've always thought he was boring and overrated (I was an Owen supporter in '94), but somewhere between 96-97, I started (for some reason) seeing him as nothing but a boring, overrated whiner. And even though I hated him, I loved seeing him as a heel, because I was joined by others when he got the crap kicked out of him.
-X-Pac. the usual criticism.
-Road Dogg, couldn't wrestle, pushed down the fan's throats, and I hated the constant drug references. That being said, i liked the NAO.
-There are also a number of wrestlers that I see no use for (or have seen no use for), like Mabel/Viscera, Mark Henry, Naked Mideon, Mae Young- does Vince really think people want to see that crap?
-Thank you, Captain Obvious! -"I don't totally understand why I do things", Rivers Cuomo
I think that a lot of people jump to a lot of conclusions when they hear things like this (Austin walking out). I think that we first need to wait and see if either the WWE or Austin makes any sort of a public statement.
