Maybe this belongs in the random folder, but:
Since supposedly we have captured Bin Laden's kids, and its assumed we might capture our old buddy Usama shortly, the question becomes what to do with them. Now, since the budget is a mess, here is an idea that perhaps liberals and conservatives can agree upon: PPV Execution. For $49.95, you can see Usama and family receive the journey to the great beyond (hell, if Ruiz/Jones was $49.95, this is a bargain.). Now, a few ideas on how to accomplish it:

1) A national lottery where for 10 bucks a pop people could buy lottery tickets to whack the Bin Laden Bunch. Then, the winner gets to whack them on PPV. The government wins twice.

2) Tell Mike Tyson not to take his medication for a few weeks. Then tell him he no longer has to pay income taxes if he utterly destroys Bin Laden.

3) Tell old Chucky Manson and Company they get their freedom if they have some fun with Usama. Hilarity will ensue.

I'd pay to see bin Laden beaten to death on my TV.. that would be great stuff.

I still think they should call all of our elected officials and otherwise, al-la a State of the Union, together, have a pair of soldiers drag bin Laden down the aisle, toss him onto the ground in front of Bush, have a Secret Service agent hand him a pistol- then Bush can blow his brains out. Then, of course, the obligatory Standing "O."

"That was very Presidential!"

I'd pay to see that...

Don't tell my fellow lefties this, since it'll get me thrown off the "campaign to end the death penalty" mailing list most likely, but I would buy 10 of those lottery tickets to whack the fucker myself. and i would definitely pay for that spectacle. Personally I would say the best thing though would be either dropping him from the Washington Monument or impaling him and his kids each on a spike in the Statue of Liberty's crown. Then bury the bodies in the foundation of the rebuilt WTC.

Hell, I'm CANADIAN and I'd pay to see Osama get shived, shot or otherwise mangled on his way to the eternity burning like the oppressive son of a bitch deserves.

$49.95, eh? Canadian or American? Ah, hell, I'll pay! I'll pay!

The Chase Is On:
8th: Oilers [28-23-8-8] 72pts; 15 games left
14th: Flames [21-31-10-4] 56pts; 16 games left
Flames must win 7 more games than the Oilers do to make playoffs
Any combination of 8 Oilers wins or Flames losses eliminates them from the playoffs

It's like the old saying "Violence begets violence". I don't see the need of stooping to those kind of levels. Would I like for him to be given a death sentence? Yes. But I think being sadistic about it and airing it on TV or selling tickets or what not is just sad.

I can't talk down about that opinion, to be honest. I personally would like to see it, even if it meant that I had to pull the trigger myself- but I can understand why some people would not. I just think it is good that we seem to be able to agree that the bastard at least deserves to die.

Under my plan, the PPV would be broadcast in Canada (its American money, I mean $49.95 Canadian is about a $1.23 these days). And, my lottery idea would be open to Canadians and United Kingdom (including Australia) residents as well. Under my plan; with no limit of lottery tickets bought per person, it would in all likelihood equal about 100,000,000 sold tickets. Calculated at 10 bucks a pop, thats a billion there.
Now, if the McMahon family believes Mania can draw a buyrate around 2.0 (800,000 purchases), and event like this should be able to pull in a buyrate of Minimum 22.5 (10 million purchases). At around 50 bucks a pop, that'll get you a half billion dollars (and thats with minimum and charging the same amount as Jones/Ruiz. Probably could get twice the money for this).
A billion and a half bucks (minimum) to see the Bin Laden family get their just rewards. And thats without even counting merchandise.

You know the winner of the lottery just HAS to wear a shirt that said "I'm with stupid" with the finger pointing right to OBL.

All that makes you no better than Bin Ladin himself. You both justify in your own way the cold-blooded killing of another person. Naturally, your response to this will be "but my reason's better!" , to which I respond "duh, of course you're going to think that."

Even if it were someone as sick as him, I could never live with myself knowing I brought death intentionally on to another person.

Yeah, I'm w/ SPF - opposed to the death penalty, but I'd off OBL in a second.

His family on the other hand - did they actually have a hand in things, or are they JUST his family?

'cuz if it was the latter, killing them just wouldn't be cool.

To Heat Miser: some of his family actively work with him, others are just unfortunate enough to share a name with him.

To BucsFan: yes....I would kill him in cold blood and I would sleep soundly the next night. If that puts me with Bin Laden in your mind, I will not argue with you. When someone declares war on my country, I want him/her to die, and would do it by my hand gladly.

What an utterly vacuous thing to say. No better than bin Laden, yes. The Nazis killed people. So did the Allies. Clearly, they are morally equivalent. Kidnappers put people in handcuffs; so do policemen. Clearly they, too, are morally equivalent.

Absurd, man. Absurd. Look up the concept of "merit" in your Funk and Wagnalls. Most of here (myself included) will contend that bin Laden DESERVES to die.

I am generally opposed to the death penalty. But, I would agree that the death penalty should be reserved for those who commit the most heinous of crimes, and Bin Laden certainly qualifies on that count. However, in this case I think it would be a mistake because I don't want him as a martyr who was killed by the U.S. Let the guy live out his life in a maximum security prison. I don't think we should allow him to become a martyr unless it happens during his capture when it can't be helped. Besides, I think that would be a far greater punishment for him. If he was captured he would want death, why give it to him?

No, no... they should make him spend the rest of his life doing community service with Jewish or Christian groups. That would frost his ass.

Actually, I would take this as a reason why every right wing talk show host and their cousin should stop using every opportunity to call Clinton the great evil and act like she's the entire Democratic party.
