It is a cylinder that holds pasta (duh) that you do not have to break and then you put boiling water in for 8 minutes and then you use the strainer and it makes (wait for it) perfect pasta!
Normally, I would dismiss this outcry for a TV product, but it is going on two weeks, he is 7 and autistic and this has now turned into some sort of MUST HAVE for him. If anyone knows of this product with a web site I would appreciate it.
I tried to do a search, but it came up with a different Perfect Pasta maker. And for those of you with kids (especially if they have autism), you know different is not the same!
Thanks!

Does anybody know the name of the song/band that plays during the Honda Civic commercial where the car is bouncing on rooftops and everything is done is shades of red?

If I'm thinking what you're thinking, it's "Galang" by M.I.A. Here's a referral to the iTMS if you have 99 burning a hole in your pocket:
I'm pretty sure it was even a free iTune of the week many months ago.
On the other hand, if you're cheap (and don't mind Real), here's a free video: http://www.xlrecordings.com/broadcast/~galang/

Wow, watching the music video for Galang I would've pegged this as from 1985, not 2005.

WPOB, a quick warning before you purchase that little devil...
I was mezmorized by the same commercial the other day. As I make a lot of pasta, I was thrilled to see this little invention. However, when I mentioned it to a friend of mine, she remarked that one of her office mates had one. Apparently, the pasta gets cooked just fine. However, because there is not as much water to soak up all of the starch in the pasta, it comes out tasting like glue.
Not first-hand info, mind you, but hearing that dissuaded me from buying one. I understand just having it for your son is impetus enough, but prepare to eat some gooey stuff if your son actually insists on having meals with it.
If you get it, I'd be interested to hear if your experience is different....
