Big props to the Blockbuster at Merivale Rd. for their great service. Basiclly, my good friend Spence gave me money to rent a game....I had two choices; one of the new Lord of the Rings games for PS2. From what I heard of the Fellowship of the Ring, I wasn't impressed. So I picked up the other one, The Two Towers (which actually is a mix of the two movies). I wasn't expecting a whole lot based on the one offering....
I was wrong. Very wrong. And quite glad I'm wrong.
LOTR: The Two Towers has an unique battle system, hot action, a superb levelup system. The game requires timing as you have to parry attacks then counter, as well as keep stock of who has shields and doesn't. You play as one of 3 characters (there's also a secret character whose playable as well). To boot, there's also cut scenes from the movie which look SICK.
So far, I can honestly say this game warrents a rental.

Although I love the 360, if you're not going to be online, you're not going to get the most out of your purchase. Ditto for an HDTV, although that's not as big a deal. Having broadband is a must, though. A good FAQ-ish thing you can look at is here.
