Maybe since WWE knows he's gonna be coming and going for pretty much the rest of his wrestling career, they'd rather just keep not mentioning WHY he's disappeared instead of actually coming out and saying that he only wrestles part-time from now on.

They used to do this with Hogan all the time. Rock's movies actually make money, though.
¡Azúcar, flores y muchos colores! Estos fueron los ingredientes elegidos para crear a la niñita perfecta. Pero el profesor Utonio agrego accidentalmente otro ingrediente a la formula: ¡la sustancia X! AIRC, it was as if Rock fell into another dimension and was never mentioned. Funny this thread came up - I had the same thought yesterday. They could have at least done some horrendous beat-down on the guy to explain his absence. Oh wait - now that I think about it, Rock only sold the semi vs. ambulance episode for about two weeks. That kind of nullifies any "injury angle" that may put him out for months.

Hey frosty; I'm pretty sure the Lakers have won the titles more than 3 times buddy

He means three in a row. The last three years.
He's Rolie Polie Olie - and in his world of curves and curls, he's the swellest kid around.
Well, the WWE's fiscal year (in regards to pay-per-views) is over (since Backlash this year is in May), which gives us a full couple years numbers to check out. Sure, the WWE's average PPV is being bought by fewer fans...
