Let's say that I am Joe Average WWE Fan Not Reading The Internet.

"Hey, where is The Rock at?"

Have they even bothered coming up with A Stupid Answer for this? Has there been a mention that I missed?

Furthermore, is it intentional? Is Joe Average Fan supposedly tuning into Raw thinking Rock is gonna show back up anytime now, so they don't want to kill his hopes and dreams?

Were whatever plans they had (if any) just so shaken up by the SS crowd reaction, they went with nothing, despite Rock saying they discussed backstage what to do if the crowd turned against him?

I think most of us that follow things are fairly up to date on things, but it seems like this would be frustrating for other fans.

He promises "HLA". Hot. Lesbian. Action. Sigh. Bischoff's really nothing more than a spammer at this point. Later he'll tell Spike Dudley how to ADD 6+++++ INCHES TO HIS PENIS OVERNIGHT and help Paul Heyman ****GET OUT OF DEBT NOW!!!!!****

Maybe since WWE knows he's gonna be coming and going for pretty much the rest of his wrestling career, they'd rather just keep not mentioning WHY he's disappeared instead of actually coming out and saying that he only wrestles part-time from now on.

Yeah, it really is strange that there was no mention at all of the Rock at shows after Summer Slam. You know the promo machine will be in full effect before his next movie comes out, though.

Hey frosty; I'm pretty sure the Lakers have won the titles more than 3 times
Edit: 14 titles.

They used to do this with Hogan all the time. Rock's movies actually make money, though.

Did they even show clips of Lesnar beating Rock on the shows right after SS? Or did they completely drop the Rock off the radar? I didn't get to watch that week.

AIRC, it was as if Rock fell into another dimension and was never mentioned.
Funny this thread came up - I had the same thought yesterday. They could have at least done some horrendous beat-down on the guy to explain his absence.
Oh wait - now that I think about it, Rock only sold the semi vs. ambulance episode for about two weeks. That kind of nullifies any "injury angle" that may put him out for months.

What would Joe Fan think? It's hard to get into the mindset, yet we know there's a segment of the viewers out there that *are* wondering what happened to Rocky.

It's mighty lonely these days above the glass ceiling in the WWE.

I think most of their fans realize that he's off making another movie. It's happened so often at this point that they're probably used to it.

I thought it was pretty self-explanatory the way I had it, but I changed it anyway. See how giving and accomodating I am?

And really, it's a lot more convincing than the injury angle. Everyone *knows* he's filming movies. I would rather see that incorporated into his character than no-selling car crashes.

1 - none, I think. 2 - Big Show. That's the only other one I can think of. 3 - 2, I think. 4 - those same 2. (Hogan and Shawn Michaels.)
