A sign that either the WWE name has been around for quite some time already or that the titles change hands too often:

The only current WWE champion whose reign started in the WWF is Intercontinental Champion Eddie Guerrero.

Since the name change...

--The last person recognized as WWF Champion, Hulk Hogan, lost the WWE Title to The Undertaker.

--The last person recognized as WWF European Champion, Spike Dudley, lost the WWE European Title to William Regal.

--The last person recognized as WWF Hardcore Champion, Steven Richards, lost the WWE Hardcore Title to Bubba Ray Dudley (and the title changed hands about 1439212311435431 times that night so that Lillian could get used to saying WWE).

--The last person recognized as WWF World Cruiserweight Champion, Tajiri, lost the WWE Cruiserweight Title to The Hurricane.

--The last people recognized as the WWF World Tag Team Champions, Chuck Palumbo and Billy Gunn, lost the WWE World Tag Team Title to (God help us all) Rikishi Phatu and Rico Constantino.

And now there is only one.

Speaking of which, just out of curiousity, have the belts been redesigned yet?

Anyway, I posted this just to state an interesting point. Other than for those purposes, I will still continue to speak of the company exclusively as the WWF, the Federation, the Fed, or as the World Wrestling Federation. I will not get the F out, and you can't make me.

Over the course of history, the kiss of a woman has poisoned a lot of great minds.

I don't mean to single you out, but I just want to say I'm ALREADY really, really tired of people making grand sweeping statements like this as if they mean something. Especially when I see people ARGUING about it. People, it's done - move on or don't move on, I don't care, but don't feel like you have to make a public proclamation EVERY time you type "WWF" or "WWE" in your messages 'cause NOBODY GIVES A CRAP.

DISCLAIMER: Somebody may actually give a crap, in which case I'm not speaking for them. :)

Thanks, CRZ, for saying exactly what I've been thinking since the day after the name change. Do people think that they're being super-powered, high-tech *rebels* when they proclaim their independance from the WW*E*?

As to the original topic, didn't Regal get the belt before the name change? Spike lost on (checking wwetitlehistory.com) the 6th of May, and the name changed (checking slashwrestling.com archives). . .oh. . .on May 6th. Oops. Nevermind ;^)

The Undisputed title looked a little different to me on Monday night, but I'm not sure.
