Bob Odenkirk and David Cross have posted a note on their site saying that basically "Run Ronnie Run" has been pushed back from April 12 and into something close to Never Never Land.

Also I have heard that the Mr. Show DVDs are being pushed back to fall instead of coming out THIS MONTH. Grr, etc. I haven't had a chance to check this myself, but I believe it.

Bob and David are asking people to email New Line and ask them to reconsider about "Run Ronnie Run," so if you want to check it out, the links are on the site.

I ran across that on their site yesterday. It's definitely a major letdown. Sadly, the show is low-profile enough that losing whatever help "Run Ronnie Run" might give seems like the kind of thing that will keep the DVDs on the shelf permanently.

Drew, they used to replay them weeknights at midnight on HBO Comedy, but they took them out of the rotation. I never got around to getting digital cable again once that happened. Even though Larry Sanders episodes still get aired, I think they're due out on DVD soon and will probably come out on schedule. Sounds ass-backwards to me.

I'm in deep sadness over the news, but if the DVD release is pushed back, I'm going on a rampage. I've got tickets to see David Cross on March 3 and I was hoping to get the DVD (or the case) signed. Maybe I'll get a chance to ask him what the hell is going on or maybe he'll mention it before the show starts.

Edit: BTW Drew, if you didn't already know, that show is in Newport. I have no clue where in KY you are, but you oughta think about checking it out, its at the Southgate House. Home of the inventor of the Tommy Gun!

After "Run Ronnie Run" got a release date, "Mr Show" was moved out of its regular midnight slot on HBO-C and would pop up occasionally on regular HBO ... usually at around 2 in the morning or something and with no regular timeslot from what I could gather. I wonder if HBO actually thought that was the *right* move to help generate interest in the movie and the DVDs, or if the network did that purposely to kill off the projects by moving "Mr Show" into a situation where it would be doomed to fail...

I've heard about the Southgate House before, but have never been to a show there. I usually end up seeing acts at Bogart's over in Cincinnati.

Of course, that's because nobody GOOD ever comes to Louisville (well, rarely anyways).

With Flickerstick next week and Cracker a few weeks after that, I doubt I'll have the funds for Cross tho :-(

Thanks for the info!!

Hey, guys, not only are they never gonna release the movie, but now, we may never get the DVD's either, since they wanna release them in tandem with the movie. Isn't that great?!

This MPEG pretty much sums up my feelings

For what it's worth, there was an ad for the first DVD in last week's Billboard--said it had a street date of March 25th. They don't usually pull stuff out of distribution when the ads have run, but they might delay the second DVD with seasons three and four.

At my school (University of Wisconsin) they actually have a survey center for this kind of stuff, and pay work-study students to staff it.
