Ok, we've all heard the rumours, what does everybody think? A-Rod would be a vast improvement over Manny (He actually plays hard), but I don't know if I'm willing to get rid of Nomar for this. A-Rod may be one of the greatest players today, but Nomar is the heart of the Sox... you get rid of him, and you might as well forget going to the series.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are built for the playoffs. Of course they are. What Leafs fans don't realize, though, is "built for the playoffs" is just GM-speak for "short on skill, kinda slow, and can't score over an 80 game season".
So...you're in a tied game, and you figure the smart move would have been to pull the guy who is not only a valuable defensive asset in the outfield but could also end the game with one swing of the bat?
