What's everyone's opinion of this new Bizarro-Pac that's been emerging lately in NWA TNA? Not only has he really stepped up in terms of workrate, but he seems to be going out of his way to help younger talent (eg: refusal to bury Lo Ki in a promo). Is this for real or could it be an act? I for one would love for the former to be true, since I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a Waltman mark, his work is what got me watching wrestling back in the early 90s.

Hell i hope you're right mate. i only hear about waltman through this board nowadays and being a huge 1-2-3Kid/X-Pac fan it's good to hear about this kinda stuff.

Hopefully this will eventually lead him back to the WWE so i can re-meet the man who was the epitome of the underdog back when he revolutionised the role

Pffft. Good riddance. hearing he's doing better elsewhere only makes me glad he's gone, since that means he could have been doing better in the WWE.

Funny how Sean acts more mature when his buddies aren't in charge.

I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.

A non-jackass X-Pac... and a Scott Hall that misses shows TO STAY HOME AND TAKE CARE OF HIS KIDS. Man, I don't know what the fuck was going on during this last NWO run, but the NWATNA version of the Kliq is AWESOME. Imagine Waltman staying around after the NWO breakup and going to SD to put over the Cruisers... and fuck, Hall showing up at WrestleMania with his kids instead of a hangover would have been the best thing he's ever done.

Zuh? This doesn't sound right. This can only be some Pod Person assuming the form of X-Pac.

Then again, maybe this means there's hope for Triple H.

Nah.

Since when did doing basic moves make one "step up his workrate?" He was doing the same tiger spin variation and planchas last year when somehow they thought it was a good idea to have him unite the LH/Cruiserweight titles!

Besides, it's been what, 2-3 weeks? Haven't we heard this before?

I really like X-Pac much better now that he is in NWA and not WWE. Mainly because I don't watch NWA and I do watch WWE.

But the motive is never as important as the result, or so I've been told.

It is funny how losing your first class airline tickets and nice cushy salary can motivate his no-job ass.

The LH and Cruiserweight titles were unified? I thought X-Pac took the belt with him when he was out with injuries last year, and the belt was never seen again.

I told the story about his NWA promo to a friend yesterday and while telling I realised..
He might not wanna down talk his opponents because he knows he will job to them and thus look like a punk himself.

But still, it seems that having to work for your money can be a good thing..

I hope he keeps it up, but I frankly have no desire to ever see him return to the WWE. I just wish he'd take Test and his heat killing abilities with him.

Speaking of, if anyone's got a spare 2 grand, Pac is auctioning the LH belt off on the TNA website. Other featured fun is jet-skiing with Jeff Jarett and dinner with Scott Hall. For charity of course (so many easy jokes here I won't even bother.)

Where would Scott Hall take a person to dinner? The local ABC store?

Yes, so many easy jokes. So little time.

X-Pac had briefly unified the two belts during the Invasion but there were so many title changes back then I really can't remember who he beat for which belt or when.

EDIT: Note to self--Typing is a wonderful thing, Darryl. Look into it.

As the old addage goes: Sometimes a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

If Hall and Pac want to step it up, behave in a way that is unfamiliar to net fans, more power to them. Maybe the fact that they are the big dogs in a rather fledgling promotion such as NWA/TNA opened their eyes a bit. Maybe they realize that their star power, however dulled by years of what some would call slander, or some would call misbehavior, could help this company, and in turn, help their pockets massively.

However, in my opinion, and NWA/TNA takes off faster than a fly about to be swatted, these men will not be credited due to the tribulations of their past. After all, no one gives credit to Snuka for ECW, and even fewer are giving Shane Douglas his due.

In the name of good taste, I will no longer say anything about people who run wrestling websites and cats.

I doubt it. The most likely reason is that they're both just trying to impress the WWE office guys so they can get their jobs back and not worry that the company they're in will still be around next month.

I don't think "civic pride" and a greater connection to the people around them is the main motivator for ANY wrestler, especially not ones with the track record of these two.

To close the loop, here's the video promo that aired on Raw Sting is a pre-order bonus. Ultimate Warrior was the pre-order bonus last year, and was released as DLC on 01/07 (about 3 months after release) for $2.
