As many of you know, I have been on a quest to get my "Mattitude" logo on a WWE T-shirt. As many of you also already know, I scalped some Row 2 seats to SmackDown in Toronto in the hopes of getting the sign on TV. As many of you also also already know, that attempt was a resounding success - many pictures of it were taken by a WWE photographer, and I was about 90% sure that Matt saw it during his pose to the fans during SmackDown!. Of course, I'm not saying you CARED - I'm just saying you KNEW.
Well, it appears that I have confirmation that he saw it. Thanks to Kawshen for pointing Matt's commentary on wwe.com out to me:

As many of you know, wrestling/sports entertainment is Matt Hardy's first and foremost love. It's important to me that I like what I'm doing and the fans are emotionally interested in what I am doing as well. I want to say thanks to anyone who has brought a sign to a WWE event that says Matt Hardy in some way, shape or form on it. It doesn't matter if it says Matt sucks, Matt Rules, I want a Mattitude adjustment, Bad Mattitude, V1 rocks, or my personal favorite, the upside down WWE emblem, an M for Mattitude. I want people to be interactive during my matches, whether they boo or they cheer. I want you to enjoy yourself. My theory is this-- "It's not if you win or you lose, it's how you entertain." And I'll do my best to accomplish that. As always, Matt Hardy is only beginning to scratch the surface. Be well, and until then...

This totally makes my day. I KNEW he saw the sign (insert Ace Of Base joke here) Either that, or the TONS of pictures that the WWE photographer took of it finally made his way to him. Either way, this rules my world, and I can only hope a T-shirt is on its way.

I think all of us, as fans, have always wanted to contribute a little something to WWE that would help them out. I know I have, and it's a big thrill for me to see that Matt digs the logo. I hope he's able to use it to enhance his already-awesome gimmick, and I hope WWE does the shirt thing and makes millions of dollars off of it.

I realize I might also be taking a bit of a leap of faith and here by assuming it's my sign he saw, but I've only seen one other somewhat-similar sign on TV and that was just last Thursday, so I'm taking the egotistical route and saying the sign he saw belongs to MEMEMEMEMEME.

My good buddy FMW pointed out to me that a few folks at other boards (he saw one at the Smark Marks) had stolen it. That's not a BAD thing...that's a GOOD thing! The Sign is spreading! Go ahead, steal my logo! I dares ya! I double dog dares ya! Nothing can stop Mattitude now! :)

I think somebody needs a Mattidude adjustment.

Hopefully you do get a shirt made with the "Mattitude" logo because I know I'd definately buy about 20 since my name is Matt and all. Finally someone is using the name Matt for good not evil.

Whoops! So you did. In my excitement to talk about ME, I missed it. My bad - thanks for beating me to it.

However, my Furry Hippie friend - you'd better not pout. I'm tellin' you why. Mattitude is comin'...to town. :)

I don't wanna rain on anybody parade, because I think it's a great logo and is amazingly easy to market...but I smile just thinking that we here at Wienerville are making a huge deal of an upside-down WWE - LoL.

It's such a simple, yet genius, logo.

In a weird way, the logo would never have made sense had the WWE not lost the F to the Panda. The logo wouldn't work with the F attached. And if Vince hadn't pursued the use of the brand despite a contract agreement with the World Wildlife Fund, breaking the law, the suit never would have happened.

And let's not forget we owe some of it to the cunt-rag Panda punk asses for starting this crap in the first place.

Well, just for comparison purposes, I'm sitting here holding in my hands the biggest selling shirt in pro wrestling history. The front of the shirt is plain white block lettering that just says "Austin 3:16". For months I didn't know the shirt had anything on the back of it until I bought. I don't have what I would guess to be the second biggest selling shirt ever, which just had an "nWo" on the front of it in a white box. So yeah, I think the Mattitude logo fits right in amongst the best shirts ever.

I think the original Hulkamania T-Shirts were quite simple too and they certainly sold like hotcakes.

Hey brewguy, I might be able to help you out.

I live in Moore County. Matt Hardy lives in this county too. He frequently comes into the place I work and grabs a bite to eat.

If I see him again, I could conceivably TELL him you were the originator of the upsidedown WWE Mattitude emblem.

If so, you could SO DEFINATELY score a shirt, or a signed autograph.

That is, if he believes me. So tell you what, hit me up on AIM at Clever Drunk, and we'll talk dude.

Wait just a minute. I invented that logo. And so did my cousin and a hundred other people attending WWE events before you ever did.

When you devote a thread to yourself, that says everything. Forget mattitude, some people need a dose of reality.

Chill, you need to... uh... chill. BrewGuy has stated in the past that he's not interested in making any money off of the logo whatsoever-- just the knowledge that he contributed a great idea to WWE would be cool enough.

If he were blatantly stealing that logo from someone, and trying to make money off of it, that's another thing entirely. But he didn't, and he's not, so just... chill.

Well, at least I'm not the only one who thought this. And before someone blasts me, I'm not taking anything away from BrewGuy. Just feels good to not "feel all alone" again. (?)

Rock is as close to the perfect sports-entertainment/wrestling combo as you will ever get. He's not as technically sound as the other top contender (Angle), but his off-the-charts charisma more than make up for it.
