I'm with you Mayhem, way happy that the Titans signed Volek. He proved he can be a functional backup & emergency starter. With the way McNair gets banged up, this is a necessity for the Titans. I wasn't looking forward to having to break in a new backup. Volek showed that he's a gutty QB with a cannon for an arm. Another couple of years with McNair & he should be ready to step up as a starting QB. Now if we can just get some defensive linemen!!!!
Well, I'm sure I'd feel much worse if I weren't under such heavy sedation.

I may have spoken a bit too soon on this one. Word is now this could be because of one of two different scenarios.
First is that someone may make a large offer for Bulger that the Rams can't afford to match. I don't think this will happen but it's possible with other players like Wistrom getting more than what they are worth.
Second would be trading Warner. Martz has said several times that it's not going to happen, but this move has people talking today. No actual rumors from the team, just speculation. Plus Martz said Chandler was signed to be a "backup". Backup to who?
I've said since middle of last season I want the Rams to try and pick up Rivers, who I think is a bit underrated. That would be ok by me. Actually I think they need to draft a decent running back as well to start grooming for the future, but they'll have a hard time getting both this year and draft predictions have them taking a tight end in the first round(Ben Troupe from Florida). I hope not since they just resigned one for more than he's worth, but oh well.
Garrard is spotty, but he has flashes of strength. Even if you don't want him to start, cutting him seems purely an economic decision. There are a number of teams who wouldn't mind grabbing him. Especially if the teams are playing Jacksonville early on.
