| #1 Posted on 31.1.13 1544.35 | Instant Rating: 9.13 | I have the 3 hour version on my DVR, and I don't watch all that often.
If I stop DVRing these and use the 90 minute version on Hulu Plus, what's the other 90 minutes they are cutting?
Anyone ever watched both to compare?
I could do the research myself, but I fall asleep even during the 90 minute one.

| #2 Posted on 31.1.13 1624.37 | Hmm, primetime TV shows less commercials run roughly 40-44 minutes per hour. That would be about 120+ minutes of show.
I'm wondering where would Hulu make over a half-hour of cuts to "fit" 90-minutes?
I'd keep the DVR version.

I demand you watch your DVR in simulcast with Hulu and report back to us. (And don't tell me you can't have your laptop and the TV running at the same time!)

Yeah, but this episode was high on stupid stuff. A regular episode there might be something important missing. I'd at least check it out for a few weeks before making a decision.

Maybe a surprisingly good match or the rare comedy bit that is actually funny, but those can just be seen on wwe.com or YouTube later.

Furthermore you will probably have some weeks where they show footage or reference something that you would not have seen and all thus clueless about. For instance, I'm pretty sure Bo Dallas and Wade Barrett will be a match on the EC PPV (considering that the whole IC Tournament Cup thing has been scrapped because of this Bo/Barrett program), and you will not really know the story cause it was cut out on Hulu.
As Samoflange pointed out, you could go to other places to see the footage you missed, but I think I would tire of doing extra work. As it stands, I can always just FFWD the aspects of the show that I think suck or are "not important" with a DVR. I don't need some editor deciding for me what I want to watch. If I want to see Tensai dance like a fool, I'll watch it dammit!

| #9 Posted on 1.2.13 0241.29 | Not having watched it myself, mainly because Hulu hates foreigners, but I can pass on what I have read elsewhere.
I've read multiple complaints from previous shows that say the editing can be rather haphazard and they have repeatedly removed what more keen wrestling fans may consider important segments and left in mindless fluff. Presumably someone with a stopwatch just wants to make enough pieces fit to meet his running time and that's pretty much it for his criteria.
The general consensus seemed to be that if you had forgotten to DVR it, hulu was better than nothing. | Matt Tracker

Everything is recapped on the other shows, but the uncut RAW gave us virtually the entire Tensai turn from ineffectual monster to sympathetic goofy face. Main Event solidified that with his match vs. Titus. He busted out the gravedigger dance again, suggesting his higher power is Brian Christopher.

From that list of stuff that was cut, yeah, there's a lot of stupid stuff, but there's also the perfectly good Sheamus vs. Sandow tables match that went ten to fifteen minutes, and featured the fans chanting "Thank you Sandow" at one point (why did I forget to mention that in the Raw thread?). Personally, I like good matches, so I'd be hesitant to use a website that might arbitrarily cut them out! | djp

Plans change (and/or some time after they approved that promo to air, they realized they already set up Bo Dallas to get the title shot.)
