"The incident occurred Nov. 29, as the girl stood after classes outside Geraldine Boudreaux Elementary School in Terrytown, a New Orleans suburb. A teacher spotted liquid dripping out of the student's bookbag and found what looked like the small cups of alcohol-laced gelatin that are sold in bars, schools spokesman Jeff Nowakowski said.
The girl told the principal that her mother, who works in a bar, makes alcoholic shots at home and sells them at work. The fourth-grader said her mother had instructed her to take the shots to school and sell them, three for $1, to make some money for Christmas, Nowakowski said.
The gelatin was turned over to the sheriff's department for testing to see if it contained alcohol.
The girl was suspended for violating school rules against possessing or trying to distribute a ``lookalike,'' or something that appears to contain drugs or alcohol.
Under the lookalike rule, the girl's suspension will stand no matter what the sheriff's department finds.
``The school system's position is, it doesn't matter if it had alcohol in it or not,'' Nowakowski said.
The names of the girl and her mother were not released.
The mother must also allow school officials to test her daughter's hair for signs of drug use, Nowakowski said."
Two things: First she was only charging $1 for 3 shots?! Second How can the school suspend her if it wasn't alcohol in there after all? Maybe on the grounds of selling something in school? Just a messed up story overall.
Yeah, 3 for a dollar is damn cheap, I would have hit that. Schools are implenting lookalike rules. I think it comes in the wake of people passing stuff as drugs in school, they pay for it and found out the coke they are snorting is really mashed up candy. My friend did in school a long time ago and I don't think they could touch him on it, because the rule wasn't around and he wasn't really selling drugs, just crashed candy. Plus, some of the drugs turned out to be deadly for some of the kids, so the schools think its better to make-up these rules to punish the kids instead of losing a kid's life. I see where they are coming from.
I just hope the kid was lying about her Mom telling her they needed money for Christmas, cause that is just sad. What is worse is they will probably take her away from her Mom around Christmas. Of course, it might be a postive for the kid in the long run, but damn that has wrong.

A few years ago, they were selling this power candy in small clear bags and plastic tubes calling it 'Candy Cocaine'. The packaging had now writing on it, just the box it came in. I remember seeing it at Spencers and a few record stores.

I watched the episode today. What is Tony freaking thinking? The guy gets away and could still kill his wife. If they don't kill her she will never forgive him because she knows first hand what the virus does.
