A rock opera about a 1970s hot tub voiced by Cee Lo Green? Totes.
Another fine debut to close out our night of Animation Domination. Although probably unintentional that both shows would do the same joke in the same night, UNSURPRISINGLY *their* montage was 100x funnier than "Family Guy's" montage. I must have blinked and missed the voice of Gabourey Sidibe. The ending caught me, though - not because I'm worried too much about Stan REALLY being dead, but...could this have been the end of Principal Lewis?
I FINALLY went to fox.com to check out the breathlessly hyped Seth MacFarlane album, but it threw me into the iTunes Music Store and I didn't bother. $11.99? That's the funniest Seth MacFarlane joke of the night!
I'm going to be catching this one again on Adult Swim when the time comes, because I get the feeling that there's a scene during the credits that will make sense of that ending.
This was...different. I loved it! Can you imagine someone saying outloud as a pitch "What if we have a homicidal hot tub...and it's voiced by Cee-Lo Green!" I actually enjoyed the musical numbers of this episode more than I enjoyed the musiccal numbers from the season premiere of Glee.
I wouldn't worry about killing off Principal Lewis. His death is about as canonical as Stan's.

If you want a taste of Seth MacFarlane's album, I'd say it'll sound something like his live Conan performance.
EDIT: The video has since gone down, but YouTube has us covered.

Apparently this episode was intended to be the series finale -- when it was written, the staff thought the show wasn't going to be renewed. So I guess it'll just be Reset Button Time next week.

Strange. It felt like part one of a two-parter when it ended. This was a bizarre episode, but in a good way. And yeah, the musical numbers were funnier here than in Family Guy. I guess I'm just surprised that the staff thought AD wouldn't be renewed.
