My son recently found our old copy of 11th Hour and 7th Guest for Windows 95/98. Is there some trick to get this thing to work on an XP machine?

Thanks!

we poked around trying to get an old game for windows 95 working over Christmas called Mixed up mother goose.

I gave up and googled it and it was online. my daughter happily played it (reliving her fairly recent youth) for the rest of the day.

so, maybe try that. (ah, maybe not - both games seem to still being sold on Amazon)

Looks like these have been done, and done, and done. Google "7th Guest on XP" and "11th Hour on XP" for endless options.

Here's a guy who's devoted his life to running "legacy" stuff on XP hardware:

If he REALLY wanted to run this stuff, he'd keep a spare PC at Win98, but what's the challenge in that, right?

DISCLAIMER: I personally only know Mac stuff, but I DO know how to Google.

This particular link didn't work, but my wife did find one similar, so they are playing 7th Guest on the XP. Thanks for your assistance, sir!

Guru and others, I know some of you all have been preaching the goodness of Linux. Could he switch his OS and keep all his hardware and still use the software he loves?
