The first rule of basketball is you never trust foot injuries, especially with big men. That said, the 76ers had time to wait to see how Embiid would heal, and the Sure Things (such as Wiggins) were already taken.
It does point towards how miraculous it is Steph Curry can perform at such a high level, and how concerned people should be about Kevin Durant.
It's sad for Embiid and for the 76ers, that's for sure.

Exactly. Mike Dunleavy may be exponentially better than any coach they've had recently, but the difference between him and Dennis Johnson does not make up for the loss of Andre Miller, Olawakandi (sp?), and possibly Lamar Odom.
