Four months is obviously not enough time to see how well an event ages, but I'm curious to see how it's holding up in the eyes of others. The last event that I watched as repeatedly as XX was VI (not even X-Seven). I'm usually short on time these days, so I can't watch whole matches. These are the parts that I watch the most...

Cena-Show
...the last couple minutes or so are really cool, IMO. I know there's been a thread already that talked about the differences between the DVD and the live event, but I think the funniest difference is the cutting out of Cena training the audience...

...from the live event
Cena: "Now when I say 'is WrestleMania here to represent?' you all say 'Damn straight!' "
Crowd: "Damn stra...oh, sorry...OK!"
Cena: "Is WrestleMania here to represent?"
Crowd: "Damn straight!"

...from the DVD
Cena: "Is WrestleMania here to represent?"
Crowd: "Damn straight!"

Coach, Heenan, Okerlund, Moolah and Mae
...I don't care, this is hilarious. Heenan makes it, of course. Heenan's reaction when he first sees Coach standing there is awesome. Heenan and Okerlund claiming to be playing poker was hilarious as well....Heenan (pointing to Gene): He was dealer.

Jericho-Christian
...the last couple of minutes...and the video package at the beginning. I don't know, that package is one of the best.

Rock & Sock-Evolution
...from Flair trying the People's Elbow on, as well as Rock & Sock's pre-match promo. The RKO on Foley was sooooo sweet - one of my favorite moments of the show. I always try to watch this start to finish.

Cruiserweight Open
...the whole match. I really love this match, and I always watch it. It's a Holy Shit exhibition, and it has little to no resting. If I expected a monstrous buyrate for this event, with thousands of potentially new Smackdown! viewers, I'd rather showcase 10 cruiserweights doing their signature spots than showcase 2 cruiserweights doing a normal match. Of course, I would then follow that up with making the Cruiser division strong for those potentially new viewers, but oh well.

Eddie-Angle
...the last 5 minutes or so is the best, when the crowd *really* comes alive

Taker's entrance
...always. I'll tell you this: if I run into Survivor Series 96 Undertaker in a cemetary at night, I probably laugh...if I run into WMXX Undertaker, I shit my pants.

HHH-Benoit-HBK
...from the point that Benoit gets put through the table on, but I always try to watch this start to finish.

closing video package
...always. Notice on the DVD that the "Alec Baldwin-sounding voiceover guy" is replaced by "the guy who normally does voiceovers"

Parts that I find myself exclusively never watching...
...either tag title match
...evening gown match
...Ventura/Trump

The rest I watch if I'm in the mood. This DVD is getting *serious* replay time (as much as the tape of the show prior to the DVD release). I could probably say it's my favorite show ever without thinking too long about it.

There are a few differences between the PPV and DVD version. The voice-over guy is different, at the beginning, JR and Lawler's name-graphic didn't show up, etc. But, yeah, the best one is Cena's crowd-training edit. That or the Ultimo Dragon slip (poor Ultimo).

Didn't they cut out the "boring" and "this match sucks" chants during Lesnar/Goldberg? I know there's still the "na na na nas" and the "you sold outs"...

I think the boring chants are still there, because Lawler mentions that the fans are getting restless and want to see them go at it. They may have cut the "This match sucks" chants out, but I don't remember.

They may have turned down the level on it, but "this match sucks" is definitely there if you're listening for it.

Hell, they didn't even shut off the "Hogan" chant they did for the look-alike guy.

SOME of it is still in there, but if you watch the tape of the live event and then watch the DVD, you definitely do NOT get the same impression. This is off the top of my head and I haven't watched the DVD since I first got it several weeks ago, but I remember being very annoyed with the fact that they cut out one of the chants altogether (it may have been one of the "this match sucks" chants) and turned most of the others down, creating that &^@(%# WWE revisionist history "archive" version of it. I know it may not matter to some people, but it pisses me off to no end when they do stuff like that.

*edit*

They also have a big crowd shot during the part where Ultimo Dragon tripped in the entryway. Bastards. And as the case is with seemingly random WWE DVDs, the licensed "real" music is replaced with an overdub (Victoria & Dudleys, specifically).

Meeee too. One of my favorite parts of the whole PPV was that trainwreck, because it was so fascinating to watch the fans turn on it. I can live with overdubbed music, but screw them for trying to re-write history like that.

Also, nothing big here at all but during the Hall of Fame ceremony(at Wrestlemania), Mene Gene flips off his glasses after he's done reading in the live version. In the DVD version they turn to a crowd shot. Seriously, what the hell is the point of editing something pointless like that?

That reminds me. On the live version, during the HOF segment, Bobby Heenan damn near falls off the stage and kills himself. On the DVD version, they cut to a crowd shot at that moment.

Getting a little off subject here, but when was it on TV? Was it on Spike or something? I only remember seeing highlights of it.

It was when they called all of them on stage on the PPV at WrestleMania XX.

Oh, duh...sorry...I thought for some reason you were talking about the HOF ceremony, like the one the night before that came out on DVD recently.
