bought a huge, $2,000,000+ dollar apartment (sescoops.com)

This thing is huge. It seems obvious to me that it WAS just about the money. A very beautiful home, he has there. Very classy.

What 'raise' are you referring to? What's the 'it' that WAS just about the money? The article says CM Punk purchased his apartment in 2010, a year before the Pipe Bomb and Money in the Bank, the 300 day WWE Title reign and all that. Seems like he spent the considerable money he already had.

BlahBlah... it only FEELS like 2 years ago, I guess. It's still a fucking immaculate apartmate. I'm giving the guy a thumbs up for once here... geesh.

Yeah, but you were also kind of accusing him of something at the same time. Regardless, yes, it's a beautiful apartment. Nice to be a millionaire.

It's a very nice house. Doesn't seem to be his style though, he seems more of a rough and tumble type of guy.

Regardless, I hope he's not throwing away money left and right like some of the older stars has.. save up, invest wisely, get out the the business on your terms...

Good question. Pepsi cellar?

I still love that Mick Foley's primary vehicle is a 2001 Chevy Venture minivan.

He bought a great place in one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago. From all I've heard of him I suspect he paid for a good chunk of that place with cash, so I doubt he has some huge mortgage over his head.

The apartment might go up in value, so it would be a real-estate investment.

Yup. Investing in real-estate is in no way the same as the stories you hear about certain nameless Nature Boys frittering cash on $1000 restaurant trips every day and five ex-wives or whatever it is. He'll be fine.

The whine cellar is probably Colt's room.

But why wouldn't he have a mortgage? Interest rates are at historic lows. Assuming he would qualify, why not borrow at 3.25% for 15 years and free up that cash?
