From wrestlingobserver.com:

As reported yesterday TNA will be taping twice next week on 10.25 and 10.26. The reason for this is that Spike TV is giving them their first Prime Time Special on 11.03. With the Ultimate Fighter Finale running on 11.05 there would have been no Impact, so Spike opted to run TNA on Thursday Night, November 3rd for 2 hours. The word is that they will be doing more of a “Clash of the Champions” style show to take advantage of the time slot and will air from 9-11pm.

Well, now..... This could be the first step... however, I have this bad feeling the main event will be Jarrett/Nash rematch.

Hey, if the main event is Jarrett & AMW vs. Team 3D & Nash, I'm cool with that.

If Spike/Viacom puts some promotion behind this, it'll be very interesting to see what kind of audience they can draw. If TNA can get even half (or maybe a little more than a third) of what Raw was getting, is there any chance Spike would give them a prime-time slot full time?

Too bad they can't legally call it the Clash of the Champions. Though that was on Saturday nights, right?

I remember at least one Wednesday show, I think.

This would be my first real chance to watch TNA since they moved to Spike, and I hope to watch.

I have this recollection of them being held on Thursday nights, but I also have this nagging feeling that I'm completely wrong on that.

Is this going to be a "Clash of the Champions" style show simply because it's airing in primetime and will run for two hours? Or is TNA going out of its way to present something that sets itself apart from not just Impact, but the usual PPV offerings?

I would hope the latter is the case. Not so much in just the matches on the card, but in the overall presentation.

I think this shows that Spike TV has faith in TNA and that they are happy with what the results so far. In a late night Saturday timeslot, TNA's been drawing almost the same ratings as UFC, which is now Spike's flagship show.

I'm surprised this is happening so quickly into TNA's Spike TV run. I wasn't expecting a special like this until maybe early 2006 when RAW would be pre-empted for the dog show.

This is a great chance for TNA so they better not screw it up.

I'd heard rumors of TNA getting a prime-time special sometime in early 2006. Then, over the past few days, there had been rumblings about a special as early as November. So this is very pleasing.

It's a GREAT sign, as what is most effective in making or breaking a wrestling company these days is the network that it's on. Obviously, TNA has full support and trust of Spike TV.

TNA has been doing a great job in presenting big shows (PPVs) over the past several months, so hopefully this show will be no exception. If TNA ever needed a blowaway show, this is it. I sure hope they pull it off.

I'm not really surprised at it. have you really watched RAW lately? 2 hours 3-4 matches. And a few of them aren't that great. What time I wasn't reading I saw a little of it. I Hope TNA does come through witha good show and they have wrestling on it instead of a freaking soap opera!

Even after it ends in DQ after run-ins or Jarrett wins?

I would guarantee that this timeslot ensures a nice, long X division match involving some combo of Styles/Daniels/Joe. And there will be much rejoicing.

On Clash of the Champions: The Original (Flair/Sting) and the 5th (Flair/Steamboat) were on Mania Sunday as head to head vs. Mania IV and V. Unless one of the last one's was on a Thursday, Clash of the Champions was historically on Wednesday Nights. There was never a Clash on Saturday, there was just WCW Saturday Night (of course, there was the odd PPV that would be on Saturday following Saturday Night, Road Wild coming to mind), and, depending upon what type of mood the booker was in, the show could have a few quality matches or just complete squashes.

All I know is that right now Im really enjoying watching NWA-TNA wrestling. When you watch Impact, it does have that special, kind of exciting feeling that early Nitro used to feel like. I'd love to see a major name jump over to TNA, in the shocking manner like Luger did in 1995. It seems to "get" what we really want, more of a semblance of athletic competition without insulting the fans intelligence. Thier PPV's have been surpringly better than recent WWE offerings, and Samoa Joe has somehow become one of the the most talked about wrestlers in the industry. I admit to not have seeing too many of Joe's matches (probably 4). But from what I have seen, this guy has a weird charisma and it's catching on with the fans very quickly. With the momentum NWA-TNA has right now, I think they'll be going vs. RAW sooner than anyone thought.
