So this is the latest industry-shaking event promoted by TNA. Apparently everyone should tune into the closing moments of Impact to see the guaranteed surprise of the year.

Any ideas? I'm thinking they've landed Batista. I don't think Jericho's interested in burning his WWE bridges with such a blatant backstab, especially given his effusive praise of WWE and criticism of TNA in recent weeks.

What else could it be, besides TNA having their own gothic wooden shack where Sting walks out?

Jeff Hardy will turn down drugs?

Matt Hardy will turn down the cheeseburger on the top of the page?

TNA will have a clearly defined face, a clearly defined heel, and an angle that begins and ends clearly and without a swerve?

Okay, I'm not a comic. Not saying you're wrong about Dave, but at his age and with his ambitions to do movies and stuff, wouldn't he be better off staying in Vince's good graces?

What's the phrase...

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 35 times, shame on me.

TNA's mascot should be a wolf, given how often they cry it.

TNA have already got a Wolfe and they never use him.

I'll leave now before people start throwing things...

Given the way it was phrased, this clearly it means Tony Schiavonie is leading the way for They #3 to come in and clean house.

Given that Impact has already been taped, it's clear whatever it is, it'll be pre-taped (unless they go "live" to the Impact taping in North Carolina - but that would just be odd).

Based on past TNA surprises, I'm going to say that the only thing that would constitute a surprise of the year would be TNA even mildly surprising someone. As such, I'm going to guess that the show ends with Dixie Carter walking down a hallway and Vince Russo comes up behind her and yells "Boo!", causing her to jump.

I assume the surprise will be a pre-taped thing, like the way they announced the signing of Kurt Angle back in the day.

Which is why Sting in the wooden shack seems like the obvious choice.

Given that the year is only two months old, it could be a very mild surprise and still be an accurate prediction.

What the hell. It's Shane O Mac with his TNA theme, "In this Direction Approaches the Moolah."

I never watch TNA, but follow it somewhat by reading about it. If their press release contains the actual surprise, I probably couldn't find it. But, I found something else...

I could try and figure it out, but why bother. I also think the spoiler is not what the surpise is considering who it is and how the match ended.

Unless it is Heyman or a complete overhaul of how the company operates (like dropping PPV), I don't care.

There is no wrestler they could sign that could get me excited about the product.

Heyman has said he won't be coming in, and they'll never drop the PPVs because that's probably their biggest source of income.

Agreed on that last point.

They *should* be TNA's biggest source of income, but instead they have such small buys that they're not much more than breakeven. I'd imagine the Spike contract is by far their best source of income.

(Which does *not* mean that they should be focusing on ratings over PPVs, because a) they don't get paid any different if the 3/3/11 or 2/3/11 Impacts do good or bad, and b) the PPVs in the past have been a reasonably strong source of income for them.)

That brings up a question- how much longer will Spike put up with TNA's dead-in-the-water ratings and inability to gain any sort of traction?
