| #1 Posted on 25.2.03 0947.31 Reposted on: 25.2.10 0947.41 | I just saw previews and am impressed with this game. It is a wrestling game featuring top rappers beating each other up. I saw suplexes and spinning hurricanrannas in adddition to ball punches.
Pros:
Developed by Aki, the same people who did the N64 WWE games. The games engine was originally going to be used for the next WCW game that never came out.
Produced by EA Big Sports – same makers of NBA Street and SSX.
Music.
Gameplay looks good to me
Cons:
No big name wrestlers – Can’t somebody get a license for NWA-TNA wrestlers?
Doesn’t have any women as playable characters
May be watered down from the M to a T rating. It needs the cursing and ultra-violence to stand out.
I also had high hopes for the Wu-Tang game and the Simpsons wrestling game and was disappointed.
I played Pride:FC and was very disappointed. It takes longer to load than to play.

You beat on a guy's legs, he starts to limp, slap on the figure four, he taps. Smackdown's graphics were better and they finally got a good storyling mode going, but Aki's psychology was the best damn thing I've ever seen in a wrestling game. If Vendetta's got that, I'm there. | Smackfiend

There's also an interview with Meth in the most recent OPM, where he was quoted as saying the PS1 Wu-Tang game was "wack". The only major problem I have with it is the lack of CAW, but hopefully they'll put that in the inevitable sequal. And as far as no wrestlers go, tell me this isn't Scotty 2 Hotty. :P | Scott Summets

Hell with Teen, I'd imagine that would take out the "N-word" and I sure as hell don't want any censored Ludacris or DMX songs in it. While WWE entrance music for some guys is great, hopefully in this game I can run out to the ring with Rockwilder or Southern Hospitality blaring. | JWstorm

nope not him bc Drake dude is on my NBA STREET game and he acts and sounds more like a wannabee Eminem to me. and theres no way STREET would bother copying Scotty | vsp

The game wasn't great compared to the best fighters of the day, but the CONCEPT of unlocking the whole Wu-Tang crew as fighters was AWESOME. The animations for winning a match were fun and no one can touch the Ol' Dirty Bastard's drunken boxing. | J. Kyle
