I just checked your profile and, by my clock, you've still got fifteen minutes to drink underage. C'mon, do me proud! | TheCow

What's going to screw with your head is this.
So if you don't smoke, then you're doing what the Truth ads want you to. They're happy. If you do smoke, then you're indirectly underwriting the Truth ads, which means you're also supporting them.
The conclusion? It doesn't matter, because they're still going to be on the air.
That being said, though, I don't smoke, nor will I start anytime soon. It's a concious decision I made a while back, and I'm going to stick to it. As long as people don't bug me about not smoking, they're not going to have a problem with me, nor will I with them. | HrdCoreJoe

I can understand taking up lots of other drugs before pot/tobacco. Alcohol can taste very yummy, acid gives you pretty colors, X makes lap dances lots of fun, and so on. I'll pretty much try anything I can swallow, but I'm just put off my smoke and needles. | Santa Sangre

Originally posted by Cerebus I don't smoke, I used to, but I don't anymore, it made me smell like shit and I couldn't breathe. Now, while I may not want to smoke, as an ex-smoker, I can remember back in those days where I'd take a few drags and everything would be ok, I'd calm down and be at peace, so I don't mind other people who do smoke.
That was 4 years ago when I quit smoking, I was doing many OTHER things at the time, and my health (...and sanity) caused me to give it all up... cold turkey. Yep, just tossed everything away and didn't bother to look back. I did start drinking again, but that's for another story.
My point here is that why are these fuck head, liberal, greater-then-thou assholes telling people what to do with thier lives. Who the fuck do they think they are, my mother?
I was up at a local mall earlier, and they were up at the food court handing out shit and making people sign some petition. I told the guy to fuck off, cause I was trying to eat my dinner in peace, and he tells me "OH, I guess you smoke." ...I'm like "WTF! No, I'm just trying to eat, do you want ME to come bother YOU if you were trying to eat?" and he was all like "Well, WE'RE doing good work here, WE'RE making the world a better place to live."
I loked him him in the face, pointed to the 6 other orange shirt wearing assholes bothering people and said "NO, you're the fucking Gestapo you fucking nazi! I'm are here to eat, not be berated by an asshole like you." and he looked like he was really pissed off, but he just went to the other table instead, where an older guy looked at him and said "I DO smoke, so back the fuck off."
This was very cool.

I had the same expierience when I went to International Mall, which is where I assume this happened to you. My friend Shawn and I were busy stuffing our faces with food when we were confronted by one of those holier than thou sorts, preaching the don't somke gospel. I'm more of a passive guy so I just told him to be gone. Shawn is a two pack a day kind of guy who likes to speak his mind. Lets just say that if he wasn't on probation right now, the situation would've gotten way out of hand.
I had another strange expirience when I went to go do some community service last week. They packed 15 of us in a paddy wagon so we could go pick up garbage on the streets of Tampa. After seven hours of picking up trash and riding in a cramped, smelly, bus w/no windows we were all pretty amped up.
SOmehow the conversation turned to smoking. Recently, a law has been passed here that outlaws smoking in all restaraunts. There was a young girl riding with us that was anti smoking, very ignorant, and didn't know when to shut her mouth. Opposing her was a 21 yr old smoker who actually had a brain. They argued at length for a good twenty minutes before both decided they were right. The girl was convinced that second hand smoke was a killer and smoking should be outlawed. I tried to play mediator but failed.
I guess the moral of the story is that the only thing worse than doing community service is doing community service while stupid people debate politics. | MoeGates

Yes I did. I was getting ready to go to bed when I saw it on and immediately watched both episodes. Of course it proves a lot of the points against the anti-smoking zealots.
