Has anyone else read his stuff recently? I had been skipping over his articles at 411 just b\c I had not enjoyed reading anyone other that Eric S., Flea, and Hyatte there but out of curiosity I read his latest article and then went to the TBR yahoo site and read this one and I have to say it was probably one of the most enjoyable reads I have had in awhile as far as the IWC goes. I had gotten burned out by all of the negativity and wanted to go back to being just a fan, and while his article does criticize, it does so from what I consider a fan's point, or at least this fan's viewpoint.
I hadn't seen anyone mention him on this board or anything about his writing so I was wondering what anyone else thought. This probably doesn't belong in the site BASHING area but I didn't think it really fit in just wrrestling or in Random. | Promote this thread! | | Boston Idol

Yeah, c'mon. When I read "site bashing" and "Blake Norton" it creates a certain level of expectation, like all those Austin teases on RAW. What, you aren't going to bash Blake?
BOOOOOOO!!!
I've met Blake Norton. In fact Blake Norton and I did commentary at an APW show together. Blake is the typical fan who really desperately wants to be part of the business in some form.
Blake realizes how the business works and he's one of those people who tries to be helpful in any way he can, what cynical, negative people often refer to as a "shill" or a "familiar."
But I shouldn't disparage Blake, he seemed pretty earnest and honest, except when he was complimenting Miss Galatea on anything. She appeared to have no redeeming qualities.
Blake is more likely to end up being the next Mike Lano than the next Bill Apter. He wears his affection for the business like a badge, so people in the business see him as a mark.
He was a nice enough guy when I met him, so I wish him the best of luck. I hope he makes a career for himself outside the business because he'd either be eaten alive or corrupted by it.
Of course that's true of almost everyone.

LOL, no bashing here. I tend not to bash too much. If I don't like a certain style of writing or a person's columns then I just don't read them. With that being said, I guess that may be why I don't post too much here since I do enjoy the WWE for what it is worth and quite a few of the 411 articles. I guess I am in the minority here or is it the silent majority...lol | Santa Sangre

He comes on Tuesday's from about 6:45 am and talks wrestling for about 15 minutes. It's mostly mark stuff, but they do get smarky sometimes about how much Raw sucks and how HHH is holding people down.
We also have Bubba the Love Sponge down here. He's a shock jock with a morning show on 98 Rock. He's Hogan's best friend and has him on the show every other day. Funny thing is they don't really talk wrestling. Bubba's always using wrestling terminology, like calling people marks, saying how he's going over and swerving everyone. Jericho, Kidman, Torrie, Christian, and Test come on the show sometimes because they all live down here.
Some guy called Bubba a couple of weeks ago when Stacy got hit by Jericho's chair shot, all serious like, asking Bubba if he knew Stacy's condition. Bubba called her later and Stacy pretty much laughed when she was told about the question. I guess someone missed the memo about all kayfabe all the time.

Well, Blake did train in the Hart Dungeon. That differentiated him from the other writers on the other newsboards, though not necessarily in a good way.
