Sheeeit, I won't even buy a KINGS jersey until they win a championship!
That Spurs game was just brutal to watch - you just KNEW the Kings would blow it. And that's the worst part - it seems like whenever I watch the Kings, more times than not when they lose, it's not that the other team beat them...it's that the Kings beat themselves and just handed the game over.
Still, the Spurs won BOTH games at ARCO...that's pretty impressive, and something that might cause a pause should they meet up in the afterseason. (Of course, who knows how things would be different if Webber were playing - or Robinson, for that matter). | J.T. Dutch

... I suppose these alternate jerseys are the wave of the future, but speaking as a Laker fan since 1980, I despise the new white jerseys. I thought the Lakers would be above such silly promos like this. | Swordsman Yen

Well, they did wear the old Minneapolis Laker jerseys in a game last year and I think they still sell those throwbacks. They should stick with the gold for those home games though. It gives them the unique honor of being the only home team that doesn't wear white and gives everybody outside of L.A. more motivation to cheer for their opponent, since good guys don't wear white.
On a somewhat related note, there's some karma theory that teams that change their unis reverse their fortune. The Pistons had those ugly unis for years and sucked, but re-emerged as a top team when they went back to the much better red, white, and blue. The Rockets won back-to-back titles with the red unis and spiraled into lottery land when they changed to the space jammies. It's much like the Chunky Soup and SI Cover curses.
